7970.

Look up for benchmarks too for the games that you wish to play them with.

thanks. but is there any significant difference between the powercolor and other (more ex) brands like asus/gigabyte?

Guys those who are graphic cards sexperts please help me out here in this real dilemma.

I have a gtx 460 now. I recently chanced on a 2nd hand GTX 570 Palit Sonic Platinum edition for about $230. And warranty still have 1 yr plus. Very tempted to upgrade but 2 major problems:

1) This card is a massive energy guzzler. Need 1 6 pin and 8 pin plug.
2) Massive card that can barely fit into my CM5 casing.

I have been looking at the pricelist on the GTX 6 series and comparing prices. The GTX 650Ti is below 200 and is almost the performance of the GTX 570. And its less than 1/2 the size and also consume less than 1/2 the power of the GTX 570.

Do u think the GTX 570 is a bad buy then?

It's not worth the buy. The gtx570 is faster than gtx650ti actually though by a small margin.

Why not sell your gtx460 for about $120 and get a GTX660 or HD7870?

I'd go for GTX660. There's room for you to OC it still. :)

I don't think its that attractive unless you're building a new system. A Powercolor HD7870 Myst is going for $320~ and though with higher power consumption, I'd still prefer this card as an ala carte buy.

Maybe I will start looking at pricelists on HWZ. :)

need some advice bros..

thinking of downgrading my powercolor 7970 to nvidia card.. the micro-stuttering is quite a pain imo..

which card should I go to? I realized i don't need such a high end card in 7970 also.. benchmarks imo are very overrated and the actual performance is not that great with 7970 (maybe just my own perception)

but I am thinking of downgrading the card to something not so high end (7970 too big and high end to my liking haha)

GTX660ti or HD7870 then. Any card that's cheaper is a downgrade.

Hey guys, my GTX 580 just died on me today. What is a good replacement for it? Budget around $250. Currently looking at HD7850. Would the decrease in performance be very much compared to 580?

I recommend you to up your budget to $300+ and get a 7870. Also, AMD is giving out free games when you buy their cards, specifically Bioshock Infinite and Devil May Cry for Powercolor and Asus cards, Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider for every other cards.

Leadtek GTX650 OC 1GB, Powercolor HD7770 1GB. Both are around $150.

The equivalent would be HD7870 but for your budget, powercolor HD7850.
