hi guys! sorry to bother u all.
i had a very old comp with :

Asus P5B mobo ( pci express x16 )
Core2 CPU 6320 @1.86GHz
8800GTS 320mb graphic card

recently i changed my LCD monitor to a 24 inch with 1920 X 1200 spec,
altho it worked well with videos, but i seems to be lagging behind for
recent new games, regardless low end or high end graphic.

i will like to change to a new graphic card which i heard will help, but
i dunno which 1 to get, plz recommend me 1 with price below 250 bucks?

thanks all!

Hi, is it normal for a EVGA GTX 580 SC to have a temperature of 90C when loaded?

Or are my cooling systems not working?

bro,

im using msi gtx 580 twin frost, when loaded temp is only abt 60-65c. I tink u better double check ur cooling cos 90c abit high. try not to go over 80.

Anyone know where got sell Gigabyte GTX 570 SOC? Not looking to buy myself, just curious to see how much the blood suckers selling it for. Gigabyte 570 OC already close to $100 more than every other 570 model:s22: Wonder how much SOC cost.

Before you buy a card, what is your PSU model/wattage? Take a picture of the spec sticker on the side of the psu

A little high but it's within the norm for a 580 card. Who well ventilated is the PC's inside?

Ok. My com is at the shop. In the mean time, can tell me is changing a nVidia N220 for $130 worth it?

Nope. Not at all. For that same amount you can get a better 1st hand card, or a much better 2nd hand card.

Hi bro,

This is the pic on the PSU, looking for something that can withstand max resolution on desktop for my 23" monitor. Not playing any games as my com is dying soon. :s16:

Please advice.

Can just get a 1st hand Leadtek GT430 $75 or if you don't mind can hunt for a 2nd hand card in the marketplace for even cheaper.

How long does it take for monitor to shut down? Do you have HWmonitor? Run it and play the game to monitor temps. Does it happen on dead island only? Have another monitor/tv to test it on?

Strange is i tried Benchmark06 before this and nothin happens at all.
i run benchmark was to observe my cpu temperature. After that then install dead island.. -_-
