Monitor recommendation (27 inches, 1440p, 144hz)

Hey all

Looking for a 27" monitor that is 1440p and 144hz. My budget is about $800 - $900? I suppose can go up to $1k if there's really nothing within my budget.

Any recommendations?

Dell one model number is S2716DG and it can meet your budget.
Take note that is a TN panel but works very well if you are just gaming.
Owned it before and it was flawless for gaming. If you doing color sensitive work or require working at various angles on the monitor, skip this monitor.

I'm actually just playing WoW only. From time to time I'll edit photos in Lightroom as well. If that's the case should I go for IPS monitors?

Depends on how much color accuracy you require and the viewing angles.
I used the S2716DG for almost 2 years and it has been flawless for gaming.
Fast and problem free. If you don't edit photos on a daily basis, recommend the S2716DG which is around 700 plus I think you can get. Of course get the Acer is you can get it for slightly more.
