Hiya :) I'm finally trying to join the (totally not ironic) hashtag PC Master Race after using a Macbook all my life. My budget's around 1k, but I need to get a monitor/keyboard/mouse as well. So the lower, the better.

Mostly going to use it for gaming and maybe Excel. Usually play Overwatch/Dota/League/Skyrim/etc. I don't need like ultra settings but pretty graphics are always a good thing.

Anyways, I have a build in mind but advice on ways to cut costs would be great. I also have a friend who could probably help me with building, but I don't mind going to SLS or Carousell to get it built.

Biostar H110MH PRO D4
i5-7600
WD Blue 1 TB
Samsung 120GB 750 EVO
Kingston PC4 2133 8GB
Zotac GTX 1060 3GB AMP
Tecware F3
EVGA 500B
(Got quoted $982 for this, including Windows 10 + delivery + labour)

I know I'll need wifi too, but I'm not too certain on what that entails.

Thank you!

if not wifi can consider MSI H110i (comes with wifi AC adapter build in) + i5 7500 (can save abit more)

but 982 for this seems ok and good, but warranty wise what did they say?

CHASSIS: Tecware F3 ($49)
MOBO+CPU: MSI H110i Pro AC + i5-7500 ($427)
RAM: Kingston Valueram 2133Mhz DDR4 8GB ($85)
PSU: FSP Hexa+ 450W ($59)
SSD: Kingston V400 120GB ($85)
HDD: Toshiba 1TB ($63)
GPU: Palit StormX GTX 1060 3GB ($275)
OS: Windows 10 Home (<$20 from Carousell)

TOTAL: $1063
Prices are quoted from PC Theme, or otherwise stated.

Other than Windows 10, if the hardware to be bought from Tradepac and after some bargaining, should get the same price as your Carousell dealer, which is a really good deal if he would build+deliver, provided he can give MSI H110i Pro AC + i5-7500 instead of Biostar + i5-7600.

Not sure on warranty, they didn't mention but I just PM'd asking. Are there any significant differences between the i5 7500 and 7600?

I'll see if I can swap out for the MSI 110i Pro AC + i5-7500. He offered FSP Hexa+ 450W at first but it has a lot of reports of causing fires so I swapped out for the EVGA.
