As topic, would that be possible? Since 290 is as cheap as 450 sgd.

Depends on what fps u want to run at? If it's AAA title then most likely cannot make it.

Nope don't think that can run smoothely ba... 290 already struggle at 1440p plus if you are saying $450, you must be referring to the reference card, it cfm will throttle de

You can run 4k. But most probably if you don't mind the FPS at 30-40fps range on low mid settings. Which in terms defeats the purpose of a 4k gaming.

A single 290/780 can only pull 60fps on AAA titles on ultra settings.

For 4k definitely a lot lower and may not be able to play on beautiful eye candy graphics.

For 4k games I intend to turn off AA cause the resolution is so high that the jagged edges wont look that obvious. From what I experience AA have always been killing the fps just to look natural. Anyway 30 fps is fine by me since I am intending to play mmorpg. Anyway the 450 sgd is the asus brand.

30fps is really slow. When the card has something heavy to render, it will take a dip. Anything below 20fps it is darn choppy and you wont love the experience. And im talking about no AA on.

449 i doubt is the dcuii version.

Note: I am using one 290x.
Playing Batman Arkham 1/2, can max everything except AA (4xAA).
Playing GRID Autosport, cannot use Ultra settings (min 43 fps), High settings can (min 63 fps).

Don't need to turn on AA for either 2k or 4k. If you turn on it will be almost not worth playing already.
