Do you mind I move the thread to Knowledge Base?

Threads in KB are not subjected to regular forum pruning, it will be there for eternity.

Thread won't be lock, all threads in KB shared the same status.

We are building the content of KB, thread worth a place in KB should not be left in main forum subjected to regular forum pruning, it will be gone 6 months down the road without new reply.

Thanks for the effort, good job. :)

Is this the only way to RMA the intel processor?

Can we do a exchange via distributors etc. Corbell, Ban Leong?

Edit: I've sold away my stock cooler and I'm using a Cooler Master Hyper 101.

My I5-750 is hitting 70 degrees at idle and 99 degrees at load.

I've reseated my heat-sink many many many times. I suspect the processor is faulty. But I don't have my stock cooler any more, what should I do?

You could actually buy a stock cooler from sls.
The coolers don't have serial numbers, they just have part numbers for different manufacturers.

With regards to the performance tuning protection plan, does the cpu have to be dead before the plan can be activated?

If yes, can someone share the safest and fail-proof way to kill a cpu =:p
