my lcd's backlight bleeding? can ask lg to change?

sk109: It could be worse but overall its pretty balanced.

Its quite okay imo, even if they say can change...its possible you could get something worse rather than a good one.

depends on a lot of things if have problems or not.

glossy screens have their own set of problems from too much glare to too much reflection. Matte for me always.

So far the only problem i face with BLB is when watching movies in 16:9. The bottom will have a black space which can see the BLB, a little distracting.

truly, without exposure information and ambient light control, it is impossible to get any real good information from pictures.

Backlight bleeding is a fundamental consequence of LCD which is using blocking technology instead of light emission. Any bright LCD is subject to more bleeding. You don't want bleeding, you have to tolerate lower contrast and brightness during normal use because they use less backlighting.

Because most monitor manufacturers optimize for office lighting, they err towards better contrast during office and day use, therefore in night use BLB may be more apparent.
