1. You will need complete a form to RMA the Hdd. Fill in form at WD Support / Warranty Services / End User / Product Replacement for End Users . You will need the RMA number after you done it.

SEAGATE HDD
Latest updated [21 Nov 2009] For all SEAGATE HDDs, can send to three locations (Changi South, Funan, China Square) for RMA based on the instructions in the RMA procedure, instead of sending it down personally. The time for the drive to be returned is unknown.

There is two distributers in Singapore. To check which one to go, pls visit the website to find out more.

Reach via: Expo MRT. Walk around 20 minutes along Changi South Ave, before turning in to Ave 2. The Distribution center is located in the UPS house. Go in through the Side Gate where there is a guard Post. Exchange for a pass. Go straight and climb up the stairs to 3nd storey. Another guard will open the door for you and lead you to the Seagate RMA department. A lady will issue an acknowledgment for the HDD received. Note: Dont go to the main entrance where there is electronic barrier. It is not transpass-able. Adviseable to drive or cycle. Note: No parking space, but very low traffic flow there too.

I just went to RAM my Seagate HDD on 17 Dec 07, and I got the RMA HDD on 18 Dec 07, UPS to my house. Very fast.

Latest updated [25 Sept 2007] For all Maxtor HDD, please log onto Seagate RMA website to verify your warranty and if the warranty is still valid, you can send to Seagate office at UPS building in Changi South to do a RMA process.

Instruction: As there are several distributers in SIngapore,
Call Maxtor Singapore at 62335565/7/8 {latest Update on 30 Aug-2004} (Old Number: 68520220) to check which company does
your faulty HDD belongs to.From some user's experiences, there are some Maxtor come US (Parallel Import) . These group of users have to pay those local distributors to send in their HDD for servicing for a charge.

Currently, from one of the HWZer, he had highlighted that Cyberstar also do parallel import of Hitachi HDD. so please be aware of the source of your HDD, as it takes more effort to RMA a parallel HDD compared to a distributed HDD.

Recently, Seagate bought over maxtor. Maxtor would be covered by Seagate. however, those HDDs bought under the various distributors previously, can still go to your distributors for RMA process.

Latest updated [21 Nov 2009] Most Seagate HDD had reverted to 3 years warranty.
