Seasonic S12 II Bronze 520W Review
Lately, this site has been all about the higher powered top of the line units from major brands. But, once in a while, it's good to shake things up and look at some smaller units. I'm doing just this today with my review of the Seasonic S12 II 520 watt unit. This is a mid grade offering from Seasonic, designed to appeal to those on a budget who still need decent performance.

Seasonic X-Series 750W Review
The chief competition for the X-Series comes from Enermax with their Pro87+ and Modu87+ line. A quick look a pricing indicates Seasonic has the advantage in both availability as well as pricing, making the X-750 all the more interesting. Are you planning on building a new system with CrossFire 5870 or perhaps GTX 480? Well, GTX 480 SLI might be pushing things too far, but for just about anything else the new Seasonic X-Series PSUs are certainly worth a look.

Thermaltake Toughpower XT 775W PSU Review
Thermaltake launches a new Toughpower PSU aimed right at the heart of Fermi users. Where does this new Toughpower stand when it comes to clean smooth power, and certainly let's not forget about value.

Cooler Master Elite Power 460W Review
We also like to review low-end products from time to time so people with a serious budget restriction can have an idea whether it is worthwhile to buy cheap products or not. Today we are going to take an in-depth look on Elite Power 460 W (RS-460-PSAR-J3) from Cooler Master. Can it really deliver its rated power? Is it worthwhile giving it a shot if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on a power supply? Let’s see.

This particular unit is manufactured by FSP, meaning that Cooler Master uses all sort of vendors for their power supplies. For example, most units from the eXtreme Power Plus are manufactured by AcBel Polytech, with some models being manufactured by Seventeam. Cooler Master also uses other vendor for their other power supply series.

Coolermaster GX-750 750W
Coolermaster joins us here in the lab today with their GX-750, a 750 watt unit that promises to bring you lots of capable power at a low price. Featuring such things as a single 60A 12V rail, 80 Plus Bronze certification, and no less than four 6+2 pin PCI Express connectors; this could be the budget power supply you've been waiting for. Come on in, and we'll see what this unit can do.

Enermax MODU82+ II 525W PSU Review
Enermax has been long known among PC enthusiasts as one of the most reliable and proficient computer power supply manufacturers, in fact for every kind of computer PSU Enermax units are considered to be some of the best money can buy. Some time ago we had a look at one of their most popular power supplies, the Modu82+. Despite being a "mainstream" product, the Modu82+ offered fantastic performance and a load of features for a very reasonable price. Recently Enermax updated their Modu82+ series, renaming it Modu82+ II, adding new features and claiming better performance than its predecessor. Today we are going to have a look at the 525W Crossfire certified version of the new Modu82+ II series to see how it performs.

OCZ Fatal1ty 750W Power Supply Review
After buying PC Power & Cooling, OCZ decided to keep selling power supplies without modular cabling system and with a single +12 V rail under that brand, and sell under their own brand only products with modular cabling system. Fatal1ty 750 W is, therefore, a unit with this feature.

Because of this new direction, OCZ discontinued their Fatal1ty 700 W unit, which didn’t have a modular cabling system and had a single +12 V rail. Even thought they share the same name both units are completely different internally.

Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 600 W Power Supply Review
We also like to review low-end products from time to time so people with a serious budget restriction can have an idea whether it is worthwhile to buy cheap products or not. Today we are going to take an in-depth look on the eXtreme Power Plus 600 W (RS-600-PCAR-E3) from Cooler Master. Can it really deliver its rated power? Let’s see.

We’ve already reviewed the 400 W (RS-400-PCAR-A3), the 460 W (RS-460-PMSR-A3), the 500 W (RS-500-PCAR-A3) and the 550 W (RS-550-PCAR-E3) models from this same series. The 400 W and the 500 W models were able to deliver their labeled wattages, but both presented very high noise and ripple on their outputs, and the 460 W and the 550 W models weren’t capable of delivering their labeled capacity. Let’s see the fate of this 600 W model........

Seasonic SS-300TFX 300W Review
Greetings once again, good readers. Once in a while, we sometimes like to take a look at products a bit outside the usual ATX suspects here at jonnyGURU.com, and today is going to be one of those times. Seasonic has sent me their SS-300TFX unit today, a 300 watt TFX based unit intended for small form factor cases, and I intend to see just how it does.

Enermax REVOLUTION85+ 920 W Power Supply Review
The REVOLUTION85+ is an 80 Plus Silver power supply series from Enermax featuring modular cabling system, resonant switching, and a synchronous design with DC-DC conversion. The manufacturer promises that units from this series are capable of delivering their rated power at 50º C, and up to 99% of the power can be pulled from the +12 V rails. Power supplies from this series are available in 850 W, 920 W, 950 W, 1020 W, 1050 W and 1250 W flavors. The 920 W and 1020 W are new additions to the series and have four +12 V rails, while the other models have six +12 V rails. Let’s see how the new 920 W model performs in our tests.

By the way, all “older” models (i.e., all models but the 920 W and the 1020 W) come in two versions, SLI or CrossFireX. This only means that they are certified by NVIDIA or AMD/ATI, respectively. Both versions are identical.

Antec TruePower Quattro 1200W Review
Although many users are currently looking for smaller power supplies below 500W, there still is a demand for stronger ones, particularly if you are a gamer with Triple-SLI or Quad-Crossfire systems. Those planning on running NVIDIA's next generation "Fermi" will want a fairly beefy PSU, and the same goes for Folding@Home farms where you'd want a lot of stable power. For the upper end PSUs there are a wide range of models, which doesn’t make the purchase decision easy. In addition, these power supplies are usually expensive so you'll want to get the best features and a reliable power supply that can operate even under maximum load and summer temperatures. The Antec TruePower Quattro 1200W aims to satisfy those requirements.

Seasonic X-750 750W Review
Lately, there have been a lot of new 80 Plus Gold power supplies coming to market. I've already looked at several of these, and no doubt will be looking at several more in the coming months. Today, I'm revisiting one of the first Gold rated platforms to hit the market in the Seasonic X Series. You may remember that I've already had the 650 watt model on the bench. Let's take a good look at the 750 watt model.

Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 1200W
Our odyssey into a sea of 80 Plus Gold continues today with what is only the second power supply I've looked at to clear the Gold level at 1200 watts. The Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold series is a brand new line that looks very promising. Let's have a look and find out if Coolermaster has a winner here.

Enermax Revolution 85+ 1020W
Once upon a time, Enermax dropped off a package at my door that contained one of the best units I've ever tested - the Revolution 85+ 1050W. Recently, they decided that this most excellent line could use freshening up. So, they've come out with a new platform at 920W and 1020W to use with the Revolution 85+ moniker.

I've got the new 1020 watt model on the bench right now. Let's see if the new platform can improve on what were already some of the best units I've seen before or since.

Corsair Professional Series Gold AX1200 Power Supply
The chances are that when consumers think of Corsair their main product they have in mind is memory. For many years now Corsair have been known for high performance and high reliability modules and it has ensured that they have remained a top choice for hardware enthusiasts.

In more recent times they have been branching out into other parts of the market and through products such as their H50/A70 coolers, Force Series SSDs and 800D chassis they have received rave reviews across the net, including here. The product catalogue is now so varied that in this era of digital downloads it is possible to build a system where the only non-Corsair products are the motherboard, CPU and GPU. All of the other major components can be Corsair branded, including the PSU.

Today on our test bench we have the latest model in their PSU range, the Professional Series Gold AX1200. This is Corsair's new flagship product and considering how well their previous PSU's have performed it has a lot of expectation placed on it.

Corsair Professional Series Gold AX850 Power Supply
Earlier this month we published a review of Corsair's AX1200 PSU after taking a significant amount of time to really torture our sample. We found it to be a phenomenal unit, far exceeding our expectations in every department. From build quality to electrical performance it was a near flawless product but this did come at a cost, £235/$280 which is likely out of the reach of many consumers.

The fantastic performance of the AX1200 no doubt left anyone who read that review looking for a way to afford the unit and for those who couldn't there was always the hope that Corsair would release a model aimed at a lower price point. Today that happens and on our test bench we have the latest model in Corsair's PSU range, the Professional Series Gold AX850. This is Corsair's new enthusiast product and considering how well the ultra-high end model performed it has a lot to live up to when carrying the Professional Series Gold family name.
