what budget and the type of music you frequently listen to?

300+

dance, pop? some liquid funk, house music etc

any recommendations? the ones that go over the ear looks really bad when worn. or can i take out the wires for the westones and put in the straight ones?

i dun think they are supposed to look good in the first place, most professional monitors are supposed to be worn over the ear

more like a necessity since singers and dancing-singing groups (I'll just take girl's generation as an example) move around frequently and sometimes dance vigorously, earphones might fall off, so over the ears prevents them from falling off, reduce cable noise and also makes it comfortable for long performances

back to the point
high end IEMs that can be worn straight down include:
-Monster Turbine Gold
-Monster Turbine Copper
-Monster Miles Davis Tribute
-Monster Miles Davis Trumpet
-Etymotic Research ER4
-Panasonic HJE900
-Futuresonics Atrios MG7
-Klipsch X10
-VSonic GR01
-Fischer DBA-02/Brainwavz B2
-Fischer DBA-02 MKII

and a few more

Any ideas if Stereo have the Yamaha EPH100 to test?

damnimgood 26-11-2012 11:50 PM

- Your rig: Ipod Classic 120gb & Samsung galaxy s3
- What type of usage: Music
- File format used in your source: MP3
- Genre of music you listen to: Mostly Rock (e.g. nickelback, a7x), Club/Dance & K-pop
- Headphone / earphone type: Over-Ear
- Other requirements (if any): Nil
- Budget (in figures): Around S$100

Basically looking for a good "entry-level" over-ear headphones

Was looking at the Brainwavz HM3 on Mp4nation. How are they?
