Ibasso D-Zero question

Just got it yesterday and mainly use it for DAC. Its supposed to be powered by usb but after a few hours it died. There's a switch behind for charging the internal batt and its off. Am i suppose to switch it on even though i'm using it as DAC and its powered by usb? A bit confused as its my 1st dac/amp.

hi chikyblink,

turn on the charging switch. the usb connector is to feed the digital signal to the d-zero, however, does not draw power from the usb.

am not 100% sure but seems implied in iBasso's d-zero manual.

download the manual from the bottom right page of the link, iBasso

it's not technically powered by usb if i remember correctly, you would have to charge it first by turning on the "on/off" power switch at the back.

some dac/amp does automatically charge when you plug in the mini-usb to your computer to use as a dac but for the ibasso de-zero, i doubt it does that.

so you would probably have to charge then use it as a dac

If you are using it as an amp, just plug your player to the "aux/in /out" and your headphones into the "Phone".

As a DAC, plug the USB cable to your computer and headphones into the "Phone". Need to change sound setting to USB audio DAC from computer. Setting for windows should be at the right bottom corner with the speaker icon. Just right click to select sound option. Hope that helps.
