the whole point of having a 5/5.5G iPod is to make use of the wolfson chip. It'll sound nicer with a proper amp.
I had my imod for the longest time until the logic board died. Using a classic atm, I still prefer my iMod. If you are feeling adventurous the following mod is quite interesting: - replace hdd with compact flash (improves batt life) - with the additional space, put the caps internally - with internal caps, you can now use a normal LOD. That was my previous iMod, courtesy of fonebone. |
