The wait is finally over! For those who know my story. I went down to the post office today to collect my item (no more waiting).

I'd like to start off this thread by thanking Jon Seabar (Electrical Engineer | President) from JDS Labs.

He has been extremely kind to me and went out of his way to get things done. His service is excellent to me and I am definitely going to tell the 'world' of his service along with his prized products.

The ad8620 offers more clarity and details and a neutral sound stage, bass is neutral as well. more like the O2 amp sans sound stage, less darker.

The opa2227 is more coloured, stronger bass, more warmth in mids and a hint brightness but has a more laid back sound.

They sound quite different from one and other and it is down to equipment pairing.

Impressions on both OPAMPS are similar to the quote above by @dqwong.

On the cMoy v2.03,

OPA2227PA
- wide sound scape
- boomy bass (/attributed to its wider sound scape, definitely for bass-heads)
- neutral mids
- neutral highs
-more 'air' between instruments (contributing factor to a wider sound scape)

AD8620ARZ
- medium-sized sound scape (as compared to OPA2227PA)
- more depth in the instruments
- clear and thump'y bass
- neutral mids (slightly more forward compared to OPA2227PA)
- neutral highs

OPA2227PA to the user gives songs a 'live' sound to them.

AD8620ARZ gives a more detailed and forward sound to the user

Hence,
I prefer AD8620ARZ. Attaining wider sound scape is something headphones cannot do as well as speakers. More depth lets you hear the fullness of the sound and catching the missing details.
