just go any polyclinic, apparently the finasteride brand they provide seems cheap.
at least cheaper than what i bought in JB.
mine is at bukit batok.

Just to share my experience on trying to procure finasteride via polyclinic.

I went to Bedok polyclinic but they said they dont carry finasteride for hairloss :(

Of course, they suggested a referral to a dermatology specialist. However, the doctor mentioned both NSC and CGH are viable and there are no differences between the 2, so since CGH is closer for me, I picked that option.

Will share and update my experience with CGH when it happens.

Also happy to hear from those who picked CGH for this.

Think you need to pick a polyclinic that is under national university polyclinic group.
The polyclinics are spilt up into various groups so I'm surprised that they don't carry the same medication.

Alternatively you can go to NSC for a better consultation just that need to pay specialist fees even though there is a referral from the polyclinic.

Yeah, if the doc didnt mention CGH as a option, I would have picked NSC for sure. Hopefully the medication cost is around the same as NSC. (Though the doctor consult fee will be definitely higher)

This is a very smart way to increase workload for SG healthcare. Ask the patients to run around, create more work, increase waiting time. If GP can issue, poly Dr should be allowed to do the same. Never heard of finasteride abuse or overdose death.

Still waiting for my appt - can only comment in April due to my schedule :\

Update in Apr: Consultation cost 50 bucks (same as another poster mentioned previously) after offsets after a very brief examination. Was prescribed both finasteride and Growell brand Minodixil. Will update once I know the cost for the above

But its looking like NSC is the way to go.

To be honest, finasteride can get in jb without prescription. Price is about 15 to 16 sgd after conversion for a box.

Nsc charges at $12 per box but need pay consultation fees. About $39.

So if u just wanna take finasteride, don't need waste time go visit doctor etc. Just go jb and buy.

But the good thing about nsc is u can get oral minoxidil which seems to be more effective than topical minoxidil. Not expensive as well as compared to topical and NSC provides.

For me I went the polyclinic route and gotten referral to nsc. So I do have prescription yearly to get finasteride and oral minoxidil from NSC.

Once awhile if I am overseas, will also just get finasteride. If u want, my friend recently pass me 2 strips of finasteride from Indonesia. 10 tablets of finasteride 5mg in which u can cut to 1.25 or 1mg. 2 to 3 months worth. I can sell u.
