Rent out a room in a condo apartment

We are living in a condo apartment (3Brs) near a university. One bedroom is available. Are we allowed to rent it out? Anyone in the forum can share some experiences on how to select a good "room mate"? Thank you for advance.

Hi Skystriker,
You can rent out the bedroom since you are the owner. What are the characteristics of a good room mate?

U may want to consider expat. Its difficult to size a person nowadays, a passionate teacher can also do weird things onboard a public conveyance.
Feel free to PMe if u need any assistance.

It is just an advice for his potential tenant. Nobody can answer your question.
