It all depends on racial quota... if you are Chinese highly unlikely you will get a unit.

To be honest, its more harder for you to get a flat in AMK for the Jan BTO than it was for TPY in the NOV BTO.

I posted this link in the Jan BTO thread.... I'm also a 1st timer and applied under MCPS scheme.... but that's nothing compared to PPS scheme.

TPY and Joo Seng was grouped together during the application process. So you can choose either depending on your queue no. and racial quota.

Ya bro very sad just when we thought we have better chances as compared to first timer with no scheme applied the govt came out with this PPS thing. Sigh i thought all was fine until this scheme came along.

Smile TPY Crest #504 or #520

I am selecting TPY soon and I am thinking of getting either 504 or 520, anyone have any suggestion which stack is better?

Thanks in advance.

They are still rather unoccupied. 504 has a city view if you are taking a unit higher than 25 and 520 has a good view of the other side. What do u think?

i got number 1234, so it's likely we might only be looking at joo seng (which i would reject). Like you, I'm so desperate I don't even mind 2nd/3rd-floor. Let's hope racial quota won't be hit, but it looks likely with only 25% drop-out.

Well, for 504 you will be maybe say 50% blocked by The Peak (there is 139A behind the 139B block), but you still get some view, which is why 514 top levels are all taken (and even more of 522), as they are further away, so not blocked so much by The Peak.

520 you get view now, but once the site next to TPY crest is up, your view will most probably be blocked - how much of blockage will depends on the layout of that plot, and how high they will build; chances are it would be like TPY crest 40 levels type. That's why 548 and 538 is so popular as it's not blocked - although 538 might be blocked if they do build high rise flats at the current temporary CHIJ primary school plot of land. That however does not seems to deter people from picking 538 units.

I guess it's hard to see what people will go for, just have to update and check, till the day before your selection date. Then you can decide say 7 units that you would chose (in best to least preferred), and see at the time of your appt what units were taken before your turn. Hopefully you still get to chose your best choice of the lot.

So what's your queue number?
