u booked before ? everything ok ?
have had bad experience booking from a not so famous site ...
their hotels is always 20% cheaper at least, compared to agoda expedia ...
hence went to book ahead, since that deal was only 30% of what others are giving ...

bookings done. email hotel ... hotel dont want honour the price
have to call to australia ... luckily they have singapore hotline ...
have to chase them for a month to talk to the hotel ... eventually settled ... quite a nitemare though ...
Started using ctrip to book flights few months back, so far so good. Have not tried booking the hotels. So far, I've checked but the prices are not cheaper than agoda for the dates that I want.

btw based on your experience
will cityview price drop next month?
now $270 per night

Had a quick look at ctrip.sg for 18-22 Oct.

Can get Imperial hotel at tsim sha tsui for $168 and casa at $134. Don't know if there's any service charge to be added.

Possible but better to look at other alternatives. What dates are you going?

Checkout Goodrich hotel. Look for rooms with Windows.

Seems there's Guangzhou trade fair around that time which explains the high rates.
Suggest booking hotel if you are on with the rates. Otherwise will you look at hostels?

if fairs happening, hotel prices shoot up , some even twice or more ...
that time planning to fly oct also , but checked the pricing of hotel
3* hotels even cost 100+sgd, which is too much already ...
then checked other travel dates, their price is 50+
