I was in JB over the weekend and there was a road-show at Sutera Mall.
The 55" ES8000 was going at RM$19,999 which is about S$7,900. What is the price here in SG? |

Just curious, what features are you guys looking at that attracts you to the latest Samsung models?
From what I can tell, they're almost the same as the LED D series models but with added build-in camera/mic for gesture/face/voice recognition functions and some build-in simple games.

Samsung ES7500 price
Came across this TV at HN and saw the displayed price at 4299 for the 46" TV. This came "bundled" with a 26inch TV. I asked the sales how low will the price be w/o the 26inch TV, and he came back with 3599. Sweet deal? Anybody got other good pricing quoted?

I got a quote for the Samsung 46" ES6600 @2499 with 4 glasses? Wall bracket, mounting included as well. Good deal? Thanks in advance!

First the Caveat...
This was a quick survey of a 60" E 8000 set, courtesy of a friend who is a happy owner of one of the first sets available. This is not meant to comment on the finer points of the picture quality (PQ) and I reserve further opinion on the PQ when I have done a calibration. Pete's Write: Samsung E 8000 Plasma - first impressions Overall, even though it was a short cursory look, I felt that the PQ is good, and the feature range decent, although I do miss having that "dot by dot" mode, which allows me to bypass any video processing or scaling in the TV. IMO, this could be a VT30 beater, but it will be interesting to put this head to head with the newer VT 50 later on. BTW, there was no buzz or other notorious issues on my friend's set.

Lets see whether this E series 6xxx will have full HD 3D unlike the previous gen D6xxx is not having full HD 3D capability.

On the subject of Samsung registration, I just found out that I've got 6 registered products when I register my new Samsung TV last week.
Next week there will be a 7th Samsung product coming in, which is a Samsung Front Loading washer
