Looks like you have a real electronics issue. Chances is you have to get the board replaced.
Hmmm. Is it worth it to replace a new board or just get a new tv? And Toshiba has pull out of sg not sure if they still have technical support here, I try searching online but can't seems to find any, anyone knows?

Fault like this confirm cannot repair already?

Should get a technician to check or is it not even worth their trip?

My Samsung TV cannot turn on and no standby red light.
Ask a few shop and they said need to assess onsite if change board cost $160 or more.
At the end, I called the Mr Ho to come my place and fixed the power board issue. He spent about an hour to check and replaced some faulty components on the power board.
Mr Ho is very patient and details person. Very satisfy.
Total damage is $90. And hopefully after repair and last for a few years more.

Condolences to your LG.

my 5.5 yrs old LG also acting up recently, occasionally powering up will have the black screen for awhile, so I just go to stores to see see look look kiv. Probably the LG knew, and decides to commit suicide recently and had such lines, before kaput immediately, on the night of Cyber Monday. Called up Mr Ho, who diagnosed over the phone , to be a kaput motherboard, which unfortunately LG stopped selling .

My advice for you is to check out and shortlist a replacement while preparing for the funeral for the LG.

Happy to buy another LG, but with my small budget, got an Sony instead

Ever since the last LG TV, more expensive model, I bought last time round that spoilt 40 days after the 3yrs warranty expired, I lose faith in the so-called branded TVs liao.

Then I bought :

1. SkyWorth 42" LED IPS hard panel TV for about $428 (Mar 2015)
2. Xiaomi Mi TV 2 55" 4K IPS TV for about $1.4K+ (Aug 2015)

If this 2 TV were to last >3yrs, I will no longer pay more for the so-called branded liao.
Reporting in on 19 Dec 2017.

Both TV are still running fine. Finger crossed.

My 60-inch LG TV started to have many white spots appearing. Just passed the 3 years warranty period. Checked online and suspect maybe the led reflectors falling off. I'm not confident to fix this myself. Any recommendation to repair shop with reasonable price for fixing this?

Actually should replace the whole board or else soon other components will become faulty and need to fix again.

my 4yr+ samsung TV now keeps rebooting. Can see the channel after it starts up... for a few seconds, then it restarts.

Checking with samsung support to see how much they will charge me... if too exp, go IT show buy new one... sigh. Not sure which to buy also if they are die so fast after warranty.
Same **** happened to my samsung also. All the help desk can tell is send for tech, one trip 160, parts separate. Any idea what happened to yours?
