Its a little too big for jeans pocket and the display is still using the terrible pentile matrix. 5.3" and 1280x800 is very nice for a small tablet though.

Ah! Yes, it is big. But I am thinking that before the purchase a buyer would have thought of that maybe even trying to get hold of a dummy phone and put it into his/her pocket.

still hoping for a 5" up phone. Worried nothing to upgrade to from a Note. Not going back to anything smaller. 16:10 wider would be better. i heard Dynamic text reflow is inherent in all htc phones, unlike Note nil.

a few thoughts:
1. 4 cores only cost you more money this year. won't bring you much, because dual core already does it very well. you won't use a phone as how you use your desktop.
2. GS3's 1080p display is really BS. it'll be a HD display. i can bet a leg on that.
3. GS3 probably will have very nice design. hardware wise, the entire industry is level. no single hardware manufaturer holds any big advantage.
4. i would prefer to see dual cores with more Ghz than quad-cores.

1. Quad Core is here because those manufacturers wanna show off their technologies pack in their flagship. (agree more isn't better. Snapdragon S4 dual core is a good example. However, Tegra3 for sure beats all current dual core base on A9 cortex)

3. Yeah. Agree. current gen of smartphone reach a point where all is almost the same. Only different is the stock UI customization

4. I don't agree on this. I prefer to see next gen of SoC like Cortex A15 instead of more clock speed base on current design (drain more batt. desktop user should know more clock speed on older gen processor isn't better than less clock speed current gen processor)

Yes its hard for current real world mobile applications to make use of more than 2 cores atm. Javascript running on the browser for example is stubbornly single threaded. Quadcore will only matter for heavy multitasking. However I doubt anyone would be doing video editing and photoshop while running virus scan on a phone.

Here's an test of the upcoming dual core Omap 5 vs the quadcore Tegra3 running multiple apps and browsing the web. The Omap 5 outperforms Tegra 3 even at a much lower clockspeed.

currently using my galaxy note, require me to take spare battery out...

not trying to be a buzzkill for the One X but check this out! I think ICS really made it easy for custom UIs to be sleek looking, even for LG with their amateur skinning previously. This made me kinda piqued my interested (although its an LG afterall)
