Gd evening people!

Jus a read to share.. nth much.. hope more news abt the new M8 will come soon.

''The HTC M8 is allegedly the company's flagship smartphone for 2014 and today it has emerged in a trio of photos. While the quality of the shots could certainly be better, the images suggest HTC is keen on sticking with the design strategy it introduced with the HTC One.

As pictured, the HTC M8 boasts a cutout for a fingerprint scanner above the camera, though not as large as the one introduced on the HTC One Max.

Another notable change in the design department is the smartphone's profile. The HTC M8 looks to be a lot thinner than the HTC One, and with more rounded edges.

Under the hood, the HTC M8 is rumored to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset likely running at 2.2GHz alongside 3GB of RAM. It's not yet clear what Android version the M8 is going to run, but rumors suggest the company's Sense UI version 6 is going to be included.

As for the display, rumor has it that it's between 5" and 5.2" with a resolution of 2K (2048 × 1080) pixels. Nothing of this is confirmed yet, so take it with a pinch of salt. We hope to hear more information regarding the HTC M8 soon.''

More news for all!

"The*HTC M8, a.k.a the HTC One 2, has surfaced yet again, this time appearing with its Wi-Fi certification.

According to the*Wi-Fi certification, the HTC One 2 will indeed come with a Wi-Fi antenna capable of switching between the 2.4 and 5GHz bands.

It will also support all the Wi-Fi standards (a, b, g and n) including the*latest 802.11ac variety.

Also known as 5G Wi-Fi, 802.11ac can deliver ludicrously fast wireless connections with better range, reliability and power consumption.

What we know about the HTC M8

It's not the most exciting tidbit we've learned about the*HTC One*successor, but it's another piece of the puzzle we'll take.

So far, we've heard the M8 will come with a punchier 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor paired with the Qualcomm Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Less verified rumors suggest HTC was looking to boost the M8 to*an octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM.

On top of this, the screen may be a solid 5-inches with the same 1920 x 1080 resolution. The whole machine is believed to land withAndroid 4.4 KitKat."

How is the Wi-Fi different from HTC One?
One has 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, and supports both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands.

This will be interesting.

Preliminary specs of HTC One successor (HTC M8) leaked

Since the word preliminary is used, it’s possible the final product will offer different specs, but for now the hardware on HTC’s next flagship – which is supposedly named One Two – seems completely unexciting and outdated. According to evleaks, the phone has a 5-inch 1080p display (0.3-inch larger than the HTC One’s), Snapdragon MSM8974 processor (which could be replaced by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 805 chip), 2GB of RAM, an UltraPixel rear camera (resolution unknown) and 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac connectivity.

One ray of sunshine among the uninspired specs is that the device will run on Android 4.4 KitKat with a new iteration of HTC’s Sense UI (6.0). There are also rumors that the UltraPixel camera on the One Two will have two separate camera lenses for normal and low-light photography, but if the aforementioned hardware is what powers the device at launch, then it might be tough for HTC to rake up enough sales for what we can safely assume will be another beautifully designed smartphone, even with features like the dual lens camera.

Specs are ok.
I prefer 5 inch or below. 1080p resolution will not be as sharp if screen size is too big. Higher resolution means lower battery life.

apparently, we will have a wrapped metal body, no more plastic by the side.

Hoping for bigger battery capacity, which means longer battery life. Butterfly S phone users are already enjoying this feature.

HTC butterfly s already can last me from 730 am to 11 pm with 20% battery left.

Moderate use of whatsapp web surfing and Facebook. WiFi and 4G all the way.

My only gripe with HTC is the stupid purple tint on the camera.

Apart from that it's perfect.

htc One+

From Android Revolution HD | Mobile Device Technologies: More details about the HTC M8

In a few months we'll most likely see new high-end device from HTC. Some of the current rumours were true, but here comes much more details you've never heard before!

Device will be named HTC One+ (codename: HTC M8) and it won't have any capacitive buttons. No more "home" or "back" buttons we get used to with the HTC One (HTC M7). Camera is probably a 6MP or 8MP module, of course with the UltraPixel™ technology and probably the new HTC ImageChip™ 3. Current rumours about double lens (for low and high lighting) might be true as well. Battery capacity is much bigger now - 2900 mAh instead of 2300 mAh in the HTC One. With just a slightly bigger screen in the HTC One+ (5") versus HTC One (4,7") we can expect much better battery life.

Chipset (SoC) is very likely to be Snapdragon 805 (instead of 800). This is a very good news because Snapdragon 800 is already quite an "old" chipset. The only problem is the drivers development by Qualcomm. Let's hope that won't stop HTC from replacing S800 with the S805.

In contrast to the HTC One, the One+ will have removable micoSD card. The non-removable microSD card in the HTC One was a source of a lot of critics from Android fans. Hopefully the design of the HTC M8 won't suffer from that.

HTC One+ will be equipped with the newest HTC Sense™ 6.0 and Android KitKat.

So what do you think? I'm already very excited and really can't wait for the HTC One successor. The HTC One won almost every award in the 2013 knocking out the competition. Let's hope the HTC One+ will repeat this great success!

To summarize:
  1. Name: HTC One+ (HTC M8)
  2. Screen: 5" FullHD 1080p covered by Gorilla Glass 3
  3. Battery: 2900mAh
  4. Camera: 6MP or 8MP with UltraPixel™ technology and double lens
  5. SoC: Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 805
  6. RAM: 2GB LPDDR3
  7. Buttons: no capacitive buttons
  8. OS: Android KitKat with HTC Sense™ 6.0
  9. SIM: micro-SIM
  10. Front camera: 2.1MP
  11. NFC: yes

I highly doubt the design will be much different from HTC One. Perhaps it is just an upgrade, than something different totally like from the HTC One X to HTC One (M7). But I'm eager to see how much HTC going to improve on its camera. 10MP ultra pixel like in the video will be nice.

An HTC M8 with ‘much thinner bezels’ could be smaller than the 2013 HTC One

An HTC M8 with ‘much thinner bezels’ could be smaller than the 2013 HTC One | HTC Source

With a 5-inch display, on-screen buttons and much thinner bezels, the HTC M8 could conceivably the same size or smaller than the 2013 HTC One. We’ll have to wait for the official unveiling or a few high-resolution HTC M8 pictures to leak in order to confirm our theory.

HTC M8 could launch with four color options | HTC Source

htc-one-color-700x334.png

This time, things may be a bit different. According to @shen_ye we could see four color options (#bebebe, #33b5e5, #cc0000 and #414141) for the HTC M8 when the handset goes on sale this spring. For the curious among you, the color codes referenced are nearly identical to the four color options of the HTC One pictures above.

the bezel will be thinner because HTC m8 will do away with the physical capacitive buttons and will have on screen soft buttons like the nexus phones
