HTC One XL: Where is the 4G Coverage

Hi all

Start this thread to consolidate the 4G Singtel Coverage during the trial period.

So far, I am not able to get any 4G, would be good to have a list of places, where owners of One XL is able to access 4G network. The 4G network to me is like ghost, you know it's there, but dont know when you will bump into it

Created this google map to track the 4G Coverage, feel free to add, this map is open to Public:

I think this is a good idea - I usually only find 4G driving around, so it's sort of a moving target for me (and harder to categorize in the previous manner). Coverage dropout seems to be quite steep, so you may be near the listed area, but still unable to get 4G if just 1 or 2 blocks outside the coverage zone.

West
- Clementi Mall (outdoors)
- NUS
- Bukit Timah Rd: Cluny Court; Sixth Ave
- Ulu Pandan Rd/Clementi Ave 2
North-East/North
- Boon Keng MRT (outdoors)
- Potong Pasir MRT
- Upper Serangoon
Central
- Orchard Rd

Thanks for the input, think it will be better to grp in different zones of Singapore, have updated the first thread based on your grouping.

Any more updates by other users?

Thanks for the link, but it is not informative enough.

For example, Bedok and Changi supposed to be covered. But I am not able to receive any 4G network for past 2 weeks. Changed my SIM card once, call up Singtel hotline, done whatever can be done to ensure nothing wrong with my phone.

That's why I started this topic to gather all the 4G sites during the trial.

Yes, the connection icon will change to "4G" instead of "3G" or "H"

Hey mlwang, what do you think about starting a Google Map, open to collaborators to add 4G points? (something like this)

Hi,

Thanks for the google map suggestion, didnt know can start this map.

I have created the map with the locations reported so far, and this map is open to the Public to add more points.

Why cant Singtel publish something like that on their website?

Thanks Sidney for the article and hard work to go to each stations to do the test for us!

Now the CSOs in Singtel cannot say there is no coverage for the areas I always go through which is MRT stations.

update: I still dont get any 4G after more than 2 weeks of buying the phone... change phone once, change simcards 3 times... 4G tested ok on my current phone using pianoblack's simcard.

Thanks. Though we did not cover all the stations (e.g. NEL), we believe this article will be a guide for those who want to know where to get 4G connectivity.

Saw that some of you guys collaborated on sharing locations on Google Map. That's great. (:

Thanks, mlwang, for compiling. (And I really hope Singtel can fix your 4G issues soon, since if it's like behwatch's, then it's probably not a phone issue.)

There are definite blank spots in the coverage (less than 200m away from a noted spot for example). I'll wait till July's official launch before gently alerting Singtel to the missing coverage in the official zones. ...Thinking this could be helpful to them (but also overly kiasu .

Maybe we can mark those with red markers -- as for now, I'll just start a list off-line.
