Schedule their flagship announcement date to the same with competitors, sell it about the same time as competitors too

Maybe HTC can consider Samsung's strategy on having two flagships in a year, like a HTC 10 for the first half of the year then maybe a HTC 10 Max or something as the second flagship of the second half of the year.

Just like in 2013, the M7 era where they have a HTC One, HTC One Max and a HTC One Mini ~

Employing a good HTC salesperson & sales promoter also affects the company sales revenue.

The sales promoter in a mobile retail shop selling the phone is very important too.

If they know how to promote the product, phone user will buy it.

Sales promoter must also knows how to answer tough questions too.

All in all, the product says everything, just need good promoters to convince people to buy, that's all to it

They had 15-20 sales promoters at telcos close to a year ago, the number has dwindled to around 3-5 now. All of them left purely because HTC wasn't making significant inroads into SG. It was just like they just gave up.

That means to say someone is trying to stop the sales of HTC phones in Singapore.

They should know one thing, Singapore people very willing to spend.

They just need to get their marketing to the right strategy

Just saw today Straits Time newspaper, Samsung is doing a very aggressive marketing approach, they selling S7 & S7 Edge at very cheap price, with free VR Gear.

These two phones will sell like hot cakes.

Will the 3 telcos do the same with upcoming HTC 10 ?

Probably not...

Perhaps they will give free gifts like the HTC one A9's. All the weird stuffs that are probably dug up from some storeroom.

durianpancake,

Provide free gift like A9 ? That means the 3 telcos has to sell 10 @ much higher price

I think it would be better to provide other stuff instead

bluedub,

Samsung Singapore mobile division has very good sales & marketing team.

That is why even a plastic made phone can still sell so well.

It's Samsung good strategy that is so successful

oh durianpancake,

May be possible. They are known to offer free stuff, which are not sellable.

Maybe they will sell the 10 slightly higher price, due to adding in those unwanted stuff

I feel that they should have hooked us right from the announcement.

HTC marketing really epically screwed up here.

I waited for the announcement of the 10, and I decided that I was going to get it. Then I waited for HTC to announce it in Singapore, only to find out that the Facebook page has been abandoned.

From worldwide announcement on 12 Apr, I waited till 21 May. Facebook page died on 24 March. At that point even a simple message saying that it'll come would have made me wait, but nothing. I gave up waiting and got a G5.

Tldr; announce the availability early and don't keep us guessing.

Just go back to the basic.

They cannot be "quietly brilliant" anymore, need to get their direction right back on track.

Alias with technical team, see what can be done to improve, on their products
