Hi Aztech,

i have downloaded and updated the latest firmware but when the homeplug is switched on my other computers still don't get internet connection. Is this firmware supposed to resolve that issue?

Hi direwolf104,

After the firmware is successfully upgraded, ensure that you hit the reset button to reset to the factory default settings.

Are there anymore connection issues with this combination of HL110EW & HL110E? I'm trying to find out whether its worth it to buy this package now.

PC Show 2010 Aztech offer: Buy HL110EW for $159 (UP:$169) and get HL110E ($69(UP:$85)) free

I just got my homeplugs bundle (110E and 110EW) and I have problems connecting my netbook to the 110EW. It is not able to get an IP address although I have managed to pair the two homeplugs together. It does not work for both wireless and wired. Any ideas?

What is your connection like?

Router/modem -> E -> EW ?

Or totally no router or modem?

Bro, am having the same problem as you.

HubstationHD modem -> EW
PC -> E

- Upgraded to the latest firmware (219.2.2-002).
- Pair up no problems.

Strangly, when i power up my PC, it grabbed my WAN ip (issued by starhub), shouldnt it be a private ip? ie 192.168.xx.xx ? Because of this, my other notebook can't grab any ip via the wireless.

But I can access internet using my PC.

You need to restart your hubstation, as the ip issued is locked to the last known mac address, which is your desktop.

Thanks, ok. Here's what I did:

- I shutdown my PC
- Unplug the power to my hubstation
- Plug in the power cable to my hubstation
- Wait for orange LAN light on hubstation to become stable
- Connect my notebook to another port on the EW
- Power up my notebook.
- Now my notebook grabbed the WAN ip.

???

Did anyone get wireless on the EW to work? what is the private subnet 192.168.xx.xx ?

Why don't you try

Hubstation -> E

EW - > PC, Laptop?

But remember, every time you change device, you need to power cycle the hubstation once.

Hmm. Sound like it. The Hubstation is just a modem while the EW is a wireless extender. So far, there has been no router in my setup which explains why only 1 device can grab the ip at ANY 1 time.

Haiz.

My one initially working fine, when I off it, on the next day, the 1st 2 led lights up but not all.

I have to power off and on several times to have all the LEDs turned on.

Do I need to wait when I turn it on?

Btw, the unit is on the latest firmware.
