Anyone tried OPANCARD app from Apple's App Store before?

What is interesting is that its on a pay-as-you-go basis. I am still running down the 500M free trial data.

They have both VPN and proxy servers located in US and UK.

So far pretty happy with the speed.

My 2c.

Just wanted to share my experience with unotelly. I signed up for the free trial on unotelly after learning about it here. They don't ask for your credit card details so its a no obligation trial.

After my last 7 days experience, my conclusion is it's good for US TV fans. Can sign up and watch Netflix and Hulu, which is what I was looking for. May consider canceling my second starhub set top box after this as the 2 services meets most of my entertainment needs.

I'm not so impressed with their VPN though as the connection kept disconnecting on my apple devices. Not sure if its because its a trial account.

Regardless, I'm quite happy with the fact that it lets me stream US tv without lag so will most likely sign up after my trial ends. For $4.99 a month its cheaper than my set top box rental. Of course if I count in the subscription for hulu then its slightly more but it gives me more up to date content and on demand, at my convenience. The set up for unotelly was also very easy as they have a step by step guide. Ideal for non techie me.

Btw, I have Apple TV and iPad which has stable apps that allow me to stream from hulu and netflix most of the time without buffering. The apps take much longer to load on my WD TV. I couldn't download the apps on my android device even with the VPN. It seems like they check your location against the location of your telco. So sneaky. not sure how to get round that.

If you are trying to view TVB programmes from various source, I have only found vpntraffic[dot]com works. StrongVPN doesn't work has tried recently. The X-Forwarded-For approach also doesn't work for PPS.TV anymore.

However vpntraffic is very affordable for your consideration, but I found it is rather slow if you are on M1 fibre. The latency is roughly 250ms and the bandwidth isn't fantastic either.

However, what I did is I tried routing via my EC2 VPN, as since below

And indeed I can get very good, ultra high resolution from youku.com only if you
route thru EC2@SG. The route seems so short for my EC2@SG is because my VPN starts from the EC2@SG instead of from my VPN, hence the route above is just the hop thru my PPTP tunnel. Below is the route from my EC2@SG to the VPN server in China.

I wouldn't be able to provide the route from the VPN server to the youku, but I think we can assume it's pretty fast.

I tried UnoTelly and found it very useful (fast and easy) for my multimedia streaming needs from Netflix, Hulu and Pandora. They are using some proprietary DirectDNS technology which will only target media data from popular sources.

The quality of service is indeed better than other VPN services (i.e. HotSpotShield) which I have tried.
Unotelly have a free one week trial w/o the need to provide credit card details, so no harm trying.

Anyone knows about the free service from VPNReactor.com?
I just need a one time short connection like half an hour to set up the Nike Fuel Band and I'm trying to avoid paying as far as possible.

There's this software called SpotFlux..

It is a very lightweight software and does VPN-like services.

It is free and pretty stable too.

Never tried it for Netflix etc though, I mainly use it for surfing.
