anyone knows whether its possible not to place the modem in the DB box or does the modem, ONT and fiber termination pt all need to be together? mainly my concern is not having enough space in the DB box unless i do shelving. and also because i hope the modem can be in a more centralized location eg. in the living room so the wifi signal can be stronger. im a noob when it comes to all these so i have no idea about those wifi mesh thing, or having a 2nd modem/router which i heard some ppl have.

theres a data pt in the living room, can the modem be plugged in to the data pt? where does the ONT go then? would appreciate some advice, thanks!

Well you can checkout another thread here title;

[HELP] AP mode setup

For some answers.
Mine TP, ONT & Router are outside as no space in db box.
Lucky it is near to living room.

At least some detail on your flat layout, isp, router, etc; might help.
So as others could guide you.
