iMsg on then Send SMS

Hello, my wife has activated her imsg, and we are able to imsg each other.
But just few days back, she has sold off her iphone already, hence no more imsg already.

But whenever I send sms to her, it is going to imsg (blue buttons), hence since she's not using iphone anymore, she's is not receiving my sms's to her.

my question is how to send SMS to her?
What I'm doing is turning off my imsg so I can send sms to her, but if I want to send imsg to my friends, I'll turn it on for imsg, vice versa.

Please advise. thanks.

yeah that's the "Send as SMS" right?
eventhough it's Turned ON, it still detects my wife to have an iMsg, eventhough she has changed to non iPhone.
maybe that's my issue. my wife has no imsg already, but my phone still identifies her to have one...

will try that, but right now as an alternative, after i send the imsg, tap and hold the message bubble, then it will ask you to send via text, then it will be converted to txt msg.

i think it's due to her mobile no. still tagged as iMessage user in apple server. ask her login her apple account and delete away her mobile no. or if possible, deactivate her account.
