When using the google search bar in iOS 6, I can see my past search history

But in the new iOS 7 safari it doesn't have this feature. When trying to search for something by typing text in the URL field, it doesn't show u a history of your past search but shows you your favourites instead

Anybody know how to bring back Search history?

Scroll further down and you will see it. Just discovered a neat thing in safari. You can access your previously browsed pages by swiping from the left and right edge of your screen.

Yup it's there but I noticed now it seems slower in showing the view history.. Last time it came out instantly, at first I thought it disappeared too

I think u r referring to this?

This design seems counter-productive cos u r required to start typing in the first few letters of your search query, which then shows the most likely result... But since I'm already typing in my search query, I might as well type out the full string and hit enter straight away instead of waiting for the search to come up right?

If u leave the search field blank, it simply shows my favourites

The previous search history is better. Here's an example:

If my search history is as thus:

Edmw
Apple clinic
Toto results
F1 Singapore
iPhone chat room
Porn
Kate upton
Microsoft technet

So if safari can display the entire search history without me having to type anything I can straight away tap on "iPhone chat room" without typing it myself
