Disclaimer: There won't be any food pictures for a few posts, so if you're into that, come back later tonight.

The way up to Mt. Moiwa is as such:

Take a Street Car to the Ropeway Entrance Stop. Transfer to the free shuttle bus to Moiwa Base Station. Take the ropeway (cable car) to Moiwa Mid Station. Transfer to another cable car to reach the summit.

This is the view on the free shuttle bus.

Reached the boarding point to take the ropeway up to mid-mountain.

You can stop mid-mountain if you wish to. For me, since already here liao might as well go all the way up. The ticket charges are different for mid-mountain and summit, but if you purchase both together I believe there's a discount. At ¥1700, this is also the second-most expensive (¥3000 for rickshaw) non-food attraction I've spent on thus far. Comparatively, JR Observatory Tower and TV Tower cost ¥720 and ¥700 respectively. There is a massive birthday discount available, either it's a free ticket or you get ¥1000 off. I showed her my passport thinking same month or a few days' grace would be okay, but sadly got rejected. Should have visited Mt. Moiwa instead of the TV Tower that day.

View on ropeway to mid-mountain.

Reached mid-mountain. There's the mandatory souvenir store. Actually Hokkaido has a ton of variety for snacks, but you realise 来来去去 many identical brands' items are hawked at different shops. Some culprits are Shiroi Koibito, Potato Farm, Royce and HORI. Not that they aren't good, but it showcases how the prefecture is so confident about those items, some other just as good or even better brands get overlooked by those not in the know.

Spotted this and the "just try since already come up liao" mentality crept in. Another 800 gone. I've since stopped documenting my expenses from yesterday because I have managed to keep to my budget and tomorrow will be my last full day. A little bit under 30000 left. That's about $300+.

You can buy a padlock to lock it at the Lovers' Sanctuary at the summit. I BBFA, buy for what?!

Took the snow cruise! Was over-imagining and expected sledge dogs LOL.

It was so cold that everyone was made to wear another jacket they provided, regardless of how many layers you piled on already. Despite the additional jacket, the cold still bothered me (cues Frozen song), and I cannot imagine what it would be like without. My fingers suffered the most, as I was still using the initial Uniqlo gloves.

So basically it's just a vehicle that drives us through the forest luh. The ride was alright, but very cold. Speed was alright, won't fall off and without sharp turns, but not at a snail's pace also. If you're on a budget though, you should skip this.

See, I don't only take pictures with zabor hor! On the left is the driver and beside me is another staff who stood behind us on the cruise to ensure everyone is alright.

Seems like I visited on a good day.

Take the cable-car to the summit!

View inside the cable-car.

Reached liao!

The cable car station at the summit consists of 3 levels, and includes a cafe as well as a restaurant.

Didn't buy anything but very tempted by the pretzels at cafe.

You can venture outside the building to take pictures, but many people are shuttling in and out because of how cold it is.

More views at the summit. Spammed pictures like siao.

The Lovers' Sanctuary observatory. Hais, any takers?

My pictures do it zilch justice.

It's supposedly more enchanting at night, with the city lights' illumination. Unfortunately, I had plans in the evening and settled for second-best, sunset.

More on the summit of Mt. Moiwa. When I first reached Sapporo I thought it was cold. Then Otaru on a snowy day showed me what intense cold is. Today, Mt. Moiwa laughed at both of them.

Bought a can of hot chocolate to warm my fingers.

First time snow depth almost above my boots. Didn't dare to anyhow tread arbo later socks GG. Am also wearing jeans (the only pair I brought) and it gets really cold when wet.

There's a trekking path that goes down. I wanted to take it but didn't because:

1. It's quite steep.
2. I'm alone, later fall and die bo lang help. Also, bears are in the area (tiagong one).

Some altar/shrine thingy? Spotted a Guan Yin statue at the side but didn't take a photo. Scared later disrespect or what.
