Bought tickets to Tembo Deck which is at 350m. The main highlight of Tokyo Skytree is its two observation decks which offer spectacular views out over Tokyo. The two enclosed decks are located at heights of 350 and 450 meters respectively, making them the highest observation decks in Japan and some of the highest in the world.

Great panoramic views of Tokyo. You can even see Mt Fuji on a really clear day.

Japan Trip April 2017 - Day 6 - Hakone

Will be skipping day 4 and day 6 in Tokyo as those 2 days were spent to satisfy the inner otaku in myself.

Started the day early to catch an early train to Hakone.

Did not have to get any tickets as mine is included in the Fuji Hakone pass I purchased the day before.

Got off at Motohakone-ko. This stop is also 1 of the 3 piers for the Hakone sightseeing cruise.

Lake Ashi was formed in the caldera of Mount Hakone after the volcano's last eruption 3000 years ago. Today, the lake with Mount Fuji in the background is the symbol of Hakone.

Walked back to the checkpoint museum which was just beside Onshihakone Park.

Tickets and tourist brochure for the Hakone checkpoint. Hakone used to be an important checkpoint to control traffic along the Tokaido, the highway which linked Tokyo with Kyoto during the feudal Edo Period. The paid admission includes the checkpoint museum and the reconstructed checkpoint. Photos were not allowed for the checkpoint museum.
