Stayed overnight at a small place called Kyuukamura. Chose to stay there cos got direct bus from Tokyo to Kyuukamura's doorstep, but this offer lasts only til end of March. I must first apologise for the not-so-good pics taken using my handphone


The bus stopped here for 10 minutes, which i think is too short =( After going to the restroom, taking a few pics of the surroundings, the 10 minutes is up.

This was taken at the restplace. It had a balcony specially for viewing Mt.Fuji so i took some pics here.


FInally reached this place after 3hrs of bus ride. This is the front of the place.

The surroundings. Maybe not very obvious from this pic, but theres nothing but mountains and trees. The weather was fine, just not completely clear and with a few clouds, but good enough for me to take pics of Mt. Fuji =)

This was taken outside. THe hotel back exit leads to a walking trail, which guests can follow to walk around the whole lake.

Enlarged version of the pic above. All the pics so far was taken before 4pm.


This is 1/6 through the walking trail. The building that i was staying in is the only man-made structure around. And its more obvious from this pic that the lake is frozen. I was pretty surprised by it (even though weather reports already stated the temperature) cos Tokyo was colder, probably due to the wind.

This was taken at a place around 1/4 through the trail. Clouds still never clear up haiz.


Last pic for the day, taken at around 4+ to 5pm, and the pic i like the most for this trip. Too bad i couldnt take it nicely enough; the evening sun was shining and making Mt Fuji appear pink.

For dinner and breakfast it was both buffet style but sorry no pics cos i was too busy eating lol

This was taken in the morning at around 7.10 am. Thinking that since i cant really take nice pics of the sunrise i went to have my breakfast. Very unlucky, while having breakfast Mt Fuji shook twice, once being a small M5 quake. Even though it never really shook that bad (at most 2s each) I could not really calm down after that so i cut short on the buffet and went out to take a walk.


The walking trail had 2 paths; this was taken when i decided to walk the other way. I was pretty lucky that i only stayed 1 day, when i took the bus, around 1hr or so later when i looked back up it was so dark and cloudy that i could not even see Mt Fuji at all.


I made a brief stop at Atami for my lunch. Was thinking of staying for the night, but after looking at the sky i wasnt in the mood already lol.

The famous foot spa right in front of Atami station.

Thats it for the main trip!!! Will post a few more bonus pics later

for My Fuji maybe. But definitely not so for places near Sea of Japan. THe snowfall in the regions there are so heavy that 3 people were killed by avalanche in 1 of the onsens.

Thanks. I pasted the link already. Its probably more beautiful when sakura blooms. And according to the staff's comments, the sun rises directly behind Mt Fuji around the 20th of April and August
