I'll be at Myeongdong in May, and will be visiting nami island by their mrt equivalent subway on Friday morning. Just wondering what are their peak hours and any specific stations to avoid the crowd or jam? Is their crowd as frightening as japan or just similar to Singapore?

Another thing to ask is as a tourist, is there any recommended value for money public transport ticket or card to buy for 5 days usage?

10x worse than sg, comparable to hk during peak hours. Didn't experience in japan, so can't comment.

I kena at ddm history and culture park station. Crowd on platform from 2-3m away will push those near the entrance and ppl in the train further.

Transport card just top up every 2-3 days when value low.

What's the peak hour for Seoul public transport? 8-10am and 5 to 7pm? or 7-9am and 6-8pm?

Their weekdays peak timings about same as Singapore. That's what my Korean frens told me. But when i went there i could not much differentiate it because their trains usually not as cramped /packed like ours. So i think no problem to cope there. So far haven't encountered sardines situation.

Depends on which area, which line and which station.

Line 1 and 2 quite bad during peak hours, especially at the Jongno area. Sometimes have to wait 3-4 trains just to get in
