while i was trying to update my phone f/w the support tools always install the LG USB Modem driver?
Try to check if you already have the USB Modem installed and is in working order.
If you don't have might want to try downloading from the net.
Right-click [My Computer] and select [Properties].
To open [Device manager], perform the following steps:
- If you are using Windows XP, go to [System Properties] > [Hardware] > [Device Manager].
- If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, go to [Control Panel] > [System] > [Device Manager].
In the Device Manager window, click the [+] sign next to Modems to expand the tree.
If there are modems on your PC,
(1) Check whether there are any of the following modems in the modem list.
- LGE CDMA USB Modem
- LGE Mobile USB Modem
- LGE Android Platform USB Modem
- LG AndroidNet USB Modem
(2) Right-click the modem and select [Properties].
(3) Click [Modem Properties] > [Diagnostics] > [Query Modem].
(4) Run a Query Modem check to verify your modem is up and running.
* If the Query Modem window does not disappear after one minute or an error message occurs, reconnect the phone to PC or power off the phone and turn it back on.
If no modem exists or there is a yellow exclamation icon next to the modem,
(1) Disconnect the phone from the PC and reconnect them, or power off the phone and turn it back on.
