Am gonna be in KL from CNY Eve till 2nd day CNY. Is Chinatown in KL happening during Eve, or quiet? Malls should still be opened mostly I suppose?

I was at Pavilion, Berjaya Times Square on 1st day CNY. Quite crowded. Most shops opened. I'd say only 10 to 20% shops closed. Food courts mostly opened as well. Chinese restaurants some still opened.
