Hey Guys! I'm going for a short malacca trip and done quite a bit of research so here to share my findings so you guys can have a Sibei Derecious time at Malacca!!

http://www.vkeong.com/2011/08/48-hours-of-melaka-food-the-not-so-touristy-guide/

Try coconut shake to cool you down and home made nasi lemak at this "serabak" stall by the road
N2 15.100 E102 15.235

If you had time I would recommend you to have lunch@AuntyLee for home cook Nonya food ( RSVP is a MUST )
N2 11.203 E102 16.420

Good World Rest@Melaka Raya serves at reasonable price.
N2 11.313 E102 15.297

If you like home made "Liang-Teh", Chop Tai Yew Aik Ayer Obat Poy Sin is the place to get it. They make it the traditional way. Shop is part of an obscure colonial style terrace shop lot. Looks like someone's residence.
N2 11.684 E102 15.122

If you like Hakka food, try the Hakka Special Rest. Got a couple of Bak Kut Teh joints here but nothing to shout about.
N2 15.428 E102 14.327

Try the Bak Kut Teh here Ah Lang Bak Kut Teh Melaka which is pretty close to NS Melaka / Qmonda
N2 14.342 E102 15.600

For early morning TsimSum with variety, try Ban Hong Xiang
N2 12.533 E102 14.566

or TsimSum at Low Mong Moh. Must warn you about the pow here. You must eat from top down as if you eat from side/bottom, the juice will flow and spash you
N2 11.818 E102 14.859

The Laksa ( what you call in Penang, curry mee ) at Donald & Lily’s is not bad
N2 11.662 E102 14.813

Assam Fish Head @ Sin Yong Loke. Hidden in a industrial zone, near Tesco
N2 12.957 E102 15.232

If you want to buy Nonya Kuek from factory source, try Baba Charlie. Located in a house. You have to navigate a very very narrow lane which will barely fit your benz
N2 12.182 E102 13.886

On your way back, try the Long Jiang Longkang Mee@Tampin
N2 28.026 E102 13.795

If you want to buy Durian from farms, try
- Sim Koa Yen@Alor Gajah N2 20.915 E102 19.996
- forgot name but co-ordinates is N2 19.350 E102 21.694

Going on National Day...staying at Hatten hotel.

There is this shop along Jonkers near the Karaoke stage where they sell tau sar piah.. Quite nice when we bought back the previous time.. Forgot the exact location but it's on the left side of the street from San Shu Gong entrance..

This time I will probably try Nancy Kitchen, ZhOng hua Chkn rice ball and Nadeje Patisserie.

There are many back alleys like this in Malacca. Maybe you refer to the alley off Jalan Bunga Raya where cockles, kangkong and beancurd are served. Patrons sit on stools.

Portugese/Eurasian food for sure! Had a good debal curry last time I was there but it's years ago I don't remember the place. Some authentic Eurasian fort or something like that.

Chicken rice balls also very good and laksa. Where is this portugese seafood village mentioned?
