Hello I am looking for a relatively inexpensive phone to buy as a gift. But I don't need a contract with a telco. Which shops would you recommend?

I'm looking at the following phones: it must be a smart phone, capacitive touch screen, at least 3 inch screen, can take a microSD card and below $300. Cheaper is of course better.

1) Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V
2) Samsung Galaxy W
3) Samsung Galaxy Mini 2
4) Nokia 500

If you have any other phone models to suggest to make, please let me know as well.

why buy from shops? shops are selling it more expensive than private sellers.

Private sellers? Sorry I don't quite understand... I'm looking for a new non-contract phone. Not a second hand phone... if there are any private sellers that sell new phones with warranties from the manufacturers, I would like to try them. Do PM me if you have any lobang...

Check out the garage sales. There are people selling brand new phones because they have just recontract or sign up for a new line

Oh yeah... that's a good place... but I am looking for entry level smart phones on Android... not sure if people take these phones for resale... but worth a try! Thanks!
