Basically, Samsung screwed up with the placement of the fingerprint sensor on the S8/S8+/Note8. There's no other way to say it.

For a top tier manufacturer like Samsung to place the fingerprint sensor where it is, is bewildering and stupid. Samsung shouldn't require its users to "get used" to the awkward sensor placement when there is such an obvious and easily implemented alternative placement below the camera.

Good thing that Samsung is correcting this mistake in the upcoming S9/S9+. Hope Samsung fired the designer who was responsible for the previous placement decision and the manager who approved it.
