when dealing wit exclusive distro, MOST IMPORTANTLY:

- NEVER EVER PAY OR SIGN ANY CONTRACT BEFORE YOU SEE AND INSPECT THE ACTUAL PHONE AND ALL ACCESSORIES

Nowadays, screens are getting better resolutions.. So, it might be wise to check for dead or still pixels.. Easier way : If the phone is equip with a camera, use the camera to take a black pic.. (Cover the len with your finger).. Then try to zoom to full screen if the phone had that capability..

So means it's some kinda duration counter...in other words i shouldnt see a non-0 life timer on it?

phone cannot exit the life timer mode

What's the 'life timer' thing about?
my nokia phone (6100 and 2100) can't seem to exit the mode where you check the life timer, and the only way to exit is to manually take out the battery. is this supposed to be normal? don't think so right?

I think it means third party shops that are endorsed by the respective mobile service providers, e.g. Cherry Mobile for StarHub.
