[Silver Bullions] Which design do you collect most?
Hi all,
I'm considering to vest a few tubes of silver bullions just for the value of metal itself. As I know, there're 5 types of bullions widely buying, American Eagle Canadian Maple Aussie Koala/Kookaburra China Panda Austrian Vienna Philharmonic The first two are the mostly recognized products around the world, but to my view, their designs are somewhat boring. The Koala/Kook and Panda have nice designs while with higher premium. Plus, it is hard to get a tube of Panda right? I am crazily in favor of the last one as a music lover, and the premium is looow. But according to the following article, few people keeps a bulk of Austrian coins. Because it is not that liquid, or any other reasons? CapsuleMoney: #5 Intro to Precious Metals What is your preferences when investing bullions, veterans? And I wonder if I store a lot of these Music coins, can I easily sell them in the future as American eagles? Thanks ![]() |

Hi all, 1)American Eagle(ASE) 2)Canadian Maple (CML) U cant go wrong if u start with these 2, especially ASE tube Just a word of advice, I heard there is alot of fakes for China Panda, so pls buy with caution... If your letting go price for Music coins and ASE is the same, ppl will go for ASE.. So i will recommend u to get ASE over ur Music coins... Hope I answered your qns ![]() Welcome to Silver Family ![]() |

Consider Mexican Libertads. Most beautiful design for BU IMHO.
Aussie BU are great too with just a little premium for the capsule, however they take much more storage space. |

go for ASE...maples also good as the value is $5 CAD, although the value of the metal is worth much more than $5.

Personally I love the Libertads and the Phils.
The designs are damn nice and the premiums are much lesser. But that being said, I am an advocate of having a mixture of these bullion coins. Currently my holdings are mainly the canadian wildlife series.... |

For stacking (Meaning buy them in like, 5tubes or more)
1. American Silver Eagles (Popular coins, easy to exchange or sell in Singapore) 2. Canadian Maple Leaves (Also popular, but some have milk spots, newer coins do not have...) Other coins that you can have a few tubes/sheets are: 1. China Panda (1oz or 5oz) , they raise in value pretty good based on historic pricing o China Panda. 2. Perth Mint Kooks , another popular coin, but higher premium and 2012 Kooks are sold out at mint, can only get from reseller or alternate source. 3. Mexican Libertads, not that popular, but they are nice coins, good to have a few. 4. There are actually alot more to list down if i have to, but these are the "Must-have" before you acquire other coins. Take it as a hobby, this hobby will reap you rewards in future, unlike hobbies like drinking or clubbing which will not have monetary reward in the future.

Thanks guy for sharing your ideas. I decided to buy a few tubes of ASE first.
![]() The panda bullions are really good in design. Perhaps I'd plan to buy some pieces from the official retailer in HK someday (Greatwall, Bank of China etc). Someone told me that, this year's panda has a crying face (see fig), foreboding a bad year for China economy (hard landing or something). Anyway the design itself is still good. When you turn it a little bit away from light you can see the polished part becomes dark, and the pandas in it seem to be vivid.![]() I cannot predict the future trends of precious metals' prices. I just want to collect bullions regularly for fun, and will hold em for a loong time. |

How do you store silver coins to prevent them from being tarnished?

So where can you buy those silver bullions? There are many ways, the most importantly, how much fiat money you have? ![]() ![]()
