Thanks for getting back guys. To be honest, what would be the best ECI AND CI coverage standalone plan in the market now?

Hi bro, premium of Multipay is level but non-guaranteed. Premiums may be adjusted based on future claims experience. And yes, premium cost is based on your policy term.

"Compared to taking up a AViva GPA of 200k and 200k eci (living care plus) and 200k CI (living care).... is this better or multipay?"

There isn't a straight forward answer as we ain't comparing apple to apple here.

Multipay is a plan that could pay you up to 5x sum assured.
100% payout for each CI diagnosed at its early stage, up to 2 ECIs.
3x of Sum Assured upon diagnosis of CI at severe stage, less claims already paid.
Pays a further up to 2x Sum Assured as Rediagnosed Cancer Benefit.
There are also other misc. benefits which I would omit from the picture for now.

You'd need to determine how much risk you're exposed to in order to work out a reasonable sum assured to leverage on.

$100k SA to age 65 - $962/yr
$100k SA to age 70 - $1215/yr
$100k SA to age 75 - $1565/yr
$100k SA to age 80 - $1916/yr

$200k SA to age 65 - $1924/yr
$200k SA to age 70 - $2430/yr
$200k SA to age 75 - $3130/yr
$200k SA to age 75 - $3832/yr

Budget is my main concern for your case.
How old are your kids?

Get your H&S right. For ur income there's high possibility that outpatient treatment would not be adequately cover by your company, get a PA.

Total cost here ard $600/yr.

Get a Term instead of WL for death/TPD/CI coverage.

Let's cap total premium @ < $2k/yr

What do u wish to achieve out of this portfolio?
Are you intending to get all those plans for yourself, and duplicate the same portfolio for your spouse?

I realise adding ECI to a term is rather expensive. But is CI that crucial? Usually no cure already right. So to make premium affordable, is getting a basic term that cover death n TPD sufficient ?
