Affleck had some good shows from Armageddon and Pearl Harbor, so there is an outside chance that he may do well

of course there is the script and many other factors that will determine if it is a flop or not

and he got shows like this too... :s13:

Daredevil is a Marvel comic, Murdock is lawyer to Spiderman before...

in any case, I would say keep an open mind about it.

since Bats and Supes are going to have at least one fight... it should mean that

either Bats dun trust Supes or Supes is a government sanctioned agent like in Dark Knight Returns (the comic book)

that freaking emo kia got trusting issues with everyone..

not just superman.

Batman/Bruce Wayne has a penchant for preparing for every situation he can think of.

so far, he has known to have thought of plans to take down every member of the justice league.

For Kal El, he has on more than one occasion told him almost off hand that he has something laced or made of kryptonite that is labelled "for superman".

for someone who took the measure of lacing his cowl with lead and so that at least Kal El's x-ray vision cannot penetrate it... this is par for the course.

thus, fans normally say that Batman can take down any superhero provided he prepared for it.

combat can happened spontaneously, anytime and anywhere.

prepare for uni exam..

Looks like Wonder Woman could be making an appearance in the Supes sequel as well.

From forbes.com:

Rumors and news are spreading fast the last few days, and while I’ll refrain from commenting on specific names (some of which are appearing in stories today, including Olga Kurylenko, who Schmoes Know are reporting screen tested for the role, and which I’d heard previously but haven’t confirmed) who may or may not be in the mix, I have heard from numerous reliable sources that Wonder Woman seems likely to appear in at least a cameo role in the upcoming Warner Bros. superhero film Batman vs. Superman.

Man of Steel already performed strongly at the box office, to the tune of $660+ million. A sequel was inevitable, and Warner is making it a team-up by introducing a brand new cinematic Batman to ensure the movie has better odds of performing close to or in excess of $1 billion. Batman films are the only WB/DC superhero adaptations to perform at that level, so the studio is betting his inclusion will help propel the Man of Steel follow-up to greater heights as well.

Now, it seems Warner is also deciding that they need to at least get the ball rolling on also finally bringing Wonder Woman to the big screen. While the film was probably already likely to approach $1 billion once Batman entered the picture, the introduction of Wonder Woman makes it a whole new ballgame. Fan anticipation for her eventual cinematic debut has grown in recent months, and last weekend it really took off when I reported on Jaimie Alexander’s admission she’d spoken with folks at WB/DC and knew some of the story for Batman vs. Superman.

If Wonder Woman indeed appears in the movie, as appears likely at this point, the question is whether it’s just a cameo to introduce her, or if she’ll be part of a “Trinity” adaptation offering her equal screen-time with Batman and Superman. Right now, what I’ve heard strongly suggests this will be an introductory appearance, setting up another film that features all three characters in more equitable roles. There’s also a chance it could, if things go well enough, help spin Wonder Woman off into a solo film.

The payoff for DC will be enormous, in financial terms. They’ll quickly have three of the biggest-name characters in comics established for film franchises and team-ups, they’ll achieve a blockbuster summer hit that could reasonably be expected to match or surpass the box office of 2012′s The Avengers, and they’ll have created the most prominent, recognizable female superhero adaptation on film. By 2018, then, we could see another Superman movie, a Batman solo movie, a Wonder Woman movie, and a “Trinity” team-up film setting up a forthcoming Justice League movie a year or two later that introduces another character or two into the mix. It would take some tight scheduling and a lot of work, but it’s possible this could all happen. More likely, we’ll get those films but on a longer timeline, out to about 2020 perhaps.

Warner Bros. isn’t merely in the superhero film business, so they don’t really need to — nor should they be expected to — match Marvel’s level of output for the superhero genre. But Wonder Woman’s inclusion will be a good start to building a more impressive presence for the DC universe on film. And no doubt, it’ll be highly lucrative as well.

Even with no prep time, Batman will prep prep time.

To win is about prep time itself, not how to win.

From movieweb.com:

Warner Bros. is eyeing Joaquin Phoenix as a potential villain in Batman Vs. Superman, with sources saying he could play Lex Luthor. Though, it has not been confirmed if this is the DC Comics character the studio has in mind for the Oscar-winning actor.

The studio is reportedly impressed with Joaquin Phoenix's performance in their upcoming December release Her, and want him to be involved in their biggest movie of 2015. It is still early in the casting process. Warner Bros. hasn't made a formal offer to the actor just yet, and its unclear if he will be willing to accept, as Joaquin Phoenix has made it known that he has no interest in appearing in big budget studio fare. He has sought in recent years to build a career on movies that feel 'more prestigious'.

Here's an interesting article on Joaquin Phoenix possibly signing on for the role of Lex Luthor, production delays due to budgeting concerns, WB approach to tie in Justice League and tidbits on Superman's new image and the new bat suit.

From movieweb.com:

In December, it was heavily rumored that Joaquin Phoenix is wanted by Warner Bros. and DC Comics to play one of two major villains in the upcoming Man of Steel, tentatively titled Batman Vs. Superman. Today's report claims that the studio is actively pursuing the actor for the role of iconic Superman foe Lex Luthor, and that he is 'very close' to signing his deal.

This news comes amidst a ton of new details and information about the project, including reinvented looks for both Batman and Superman, and the real reason behind the release date delay, which was first blamed on a leg injury Ben Affleck had sustained last week.

Production was initially scheduled to begin next month in Michigan, but it was said that shooting was being pushed by six-weeks, with a new March start date being eye. Later that same day, Warner Bros. officially announced that Batman Vs. Superman was moving from July 17, 2015 to May 6, 2015, allowing the filmmakers to "fully realize their vision." Ben Affleck's injury was not mentioned in the press release.

Comic Book Movie claims that the leg injury was actually a musculature injury to the ribs, which isn't too severe. The actor is expected to make a full recovery by April, and the production will use a stunt double for certain fight sequences that the actor can't perform until his recovery is complete. The source also stressed that the actor's injury was not the reason behind delaying the production and release date, while speculating that this news may have been leaked to divert attention from some of the real behind-the-scenes issues that are arising.

Its believed that the main reason behind the delay is the film's budget, and whether or not they want to show Wonder Woman's home of Paradise Island (a.k.a. Themyscira). If they head to the superhero's homeland, it will require a massive amount of visual effects work. instead, they may merely only reference Paradise Island in the story, without ever showing it.

Earlier this month, another unconfirmed rumor surfaced, claiming that Warner Bros. is shooting both Batman Vs. Superman and Justice League back-to-back, to maximize the cast member's busy schedules. The report indicated that Batman Vs. Superman will feature a cliffhanger ending that will lead directly into Justice League.

Warner Bros. executives are currently weighing this plan, but a final decision has not yet been made. Another unspecified source says that Justice League has been given the green light, and that it will be released in 2017.

In regards to the cliffhanger ending of Batman Vs. Superman, "General Napier" reveals that part is true, which Warner Bros./DC is using to differentiate itself from Marvel Studios, who employ end credit scenes that tease their next movie. Warner Bros. plans to use cliffhangers to set up their next movie from here on out, and they also want to produce short films that highlight smaller, supporting characters, which will be played at the end of each film. Marvel employs this tactic as well with their Marvel One-Shot series of shorts, although they are attached to Blu-ray and DVD releases.

Warner Bros. plans to start its marketing campaign for Batman Vs. Superman this year, with the studio releasing new photos in the coming months along with a viral site that asks fans to "choose their side." Casting confirmations are expected very soon regarding Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Holloway, who is rumored to play Aquaman, and Jason Momoa, who recently denied rumors that he is joining the sequel.

Now, about those new looks for Kal-El and Bruce Wayne. The same source claims that Henry Cavill's Clark Kent/Superman will be sporting a new haircut, which will resemble Superman's hairstyle in Alex Ross and Mark Waid's Kingdom Come, which features the trademark S curl not featured in Man of Steel. The comic book was first published as a four-issue mini-series by DC Comics in 1996, with producers pushing for a late 90s vibe that is clearly nostalgic.

As we already know, Batman will be getting a new look in the sequel as well. Something we've never seen on screen before. Back in November, Kevin Smith revealed that he had seen a photo of Ben Affleck in the new Batman suit for Batman Vs. Superman, calling the costume "mind-bending" and saying that fans, "have not seen this costume in a movie on film before".

Costume designer Michael Wilkinson also confirmed in December that Batman will have a brand new suit, although Warner Bros. still has not unveiled this revamped design yet. Over the weekend, while on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Ben Affleck's wife Jennifer Garner teased that she had seen the suit, calling it "unbelievably cool."

Here's what Jennifer Garner had to say, when asked if she might try to get her husband to come home dressed as Batman one day during the production.

"I don't think I could get him out of the suit, so no. I'll probably go to the set, and look from afar. I've seen the suit. The suit is unbelievably cool. It's a total reinvention. It looks great."

Zack Snyder is directing from a screenplay by David S. Goyer, with Henry Cavill (Superman/Clark Kent), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Ben Affleck (Batman), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) confirmed to star.

From deadline.com:

Two more key roles have been cast in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman-Batman movie for Warner Bros. Jesse Eisenberg will play Superman’s arch enemy Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons will play Bruce Wayne’s butler/mentor Alfred in the pic, which is set for a May 6, 2016 release. They join Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent in what Warners is billing as a sequel to its Man Of Steel; Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne; and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Man of Steel stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane also are in the new pic.

Both castings show the young-ification of the DC Comics franchise; Caine is 15 years older than Irons, and Gene Hackman, the most prominent of past big-screen Lex Luthors, was in his late 40s and early 50s when he played the role. Eisenberg is 30. Irons, who takes over from Michael Caine who played the role in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, joins fellow Oscar winner Affleck and Oscar nominees Adams, Fishburne and Lane in the movie; Eisenberg was nominated for an Oscar for The Social Network.

“Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman’s rivals, his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940,” Snyder said in Warner Bros’ announcement of the castings today. “What’s great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He’s a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions.” As for Irons: “As everyone knows, Alfred is Bruce Wayne’s most trusted friend, ally and mentor, a noble guardian and father figure. He is an absolutely critical element in the intricate infrastructure that allows Bruce Wayne to transform himself into Batman,” Snyder said. “It is an honor to have such an amazingly seasoned and gifted actor as Jeremy taking on the important role of the man who mentors and guides the guarded and nearly impervious façade that encapsulates Bruce Wayne.”

Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Oscar-winning actress Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey of 300: Rise of an Empire, and Tao Okamoto of The Wolverine have joined the cast of the upcoming Zack Snyder untitled Superman/Batman film. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

All three actors will play characters newly created for the film.

Director Zack Snyder had this to say in a statement.

"Holly has always been one of my favorite actresses; she has immense talent and is always captivating on screen. I had an opportunity to meet her a while back and knew instantly that I had to work with her, so as we began writing the script I made sure to create a role specifically for her. I just had the good fortune to work with Callan on 300: Rise of an Empire and was very impressed with his incredible talent. He's a fantastic actor and I'm looking forward to having the chance to work with him again. And, quite simply, Tao is a striking presence whose beauty is aptly rivaled by her amazing abilities as an actress. I'm really excited to have her joining us on this adventure."

Hunter received the Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for her starring role in Jane Campion's The Piano. She also garnered Oscar nominations for her work in Broadcast News, The Firm and Thirteen. She has starred in such films as the Coen brothers' Raising Arizona and O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Steven Spielberg's Always, Lasse Hallström's Once Around, Jodie Foster's Home for the Holidays and Brad Bird's animated hit The Incredibles. Hunter was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award when she reunited with Campion for the TV miniseries Top of the Lake. She next appears in David Gordon Green's Manglehorn and in Terrence Malick's upcoming feature.

Australian-born Mulvey stars in the current box office hit 300: Rise of an Empire, produced by Snyder. He also appeared in Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty and will next be seen in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

In addition to The Wolverine, Okamoto also appeared in the video The Wolverine: The Path of a Ronin, and in the Japanese television miniseries Chi no wadachi.

Snyder's film stars Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. The film also stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and reunites Man of Steel stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

The new film is currently being written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

The film is set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016, and is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.
