Having seen The Avengers in IMAX 3D a while ago, I must declare it is the ONLY format to fully immerse yourself in the exciting and colorful world of super-heroes battling an equally formidable foe and enemies. Plenty of humour and bickering aside, there is a steady built-up to a great and breathtaking finale that exceeds all expectations and doesn't disappoint. Though The Dark Knight is the best super-hero movie in my opinion, The Avengers is not far away, raising the standard of a super-hero movie from the Marvel's universe.

I concur.

Watched it in normal 3D and IMAX 3D, I have to say the latter format just blew me away with the depth of the imagery.

The praise for the movie is too much. But then perhaps that's because given the premise and scale of it, it is nicely done. Good job Joss Whedon.

Mark Ruffalo is excellent as Bruce Banner.

Jeremy Renner. The same acting I've seen since S.W.A.T.

Not too bad.

Although I'm still not sure it's worth paying $8 more than normal 3D. I guess it's just a matter of perspective. The screen isn't as big as the one at the science centre.

Yes, I thought Ruffalo did an excellent potrayal as Bruce Banner although it's not really that difficult a job to act as the Hulk. He's quite primitive and basically a savage in this movie.

yeah Ruffalo was good. very believable as a scientist. his scenes as Hulk are the show stealer.

RDJ as Ironman is awesome as well. got the best lines/humour in the show.
if you think his suitcase suitup was cool, wait till you see how he suits up in this movie.

CE as Capt America. i think he did a great job as well. Selfless and heroic. putting others before himself. was glad to see him take leadership towards the end. giving orders to the police and team.
sometimes old fashion is what you need!

the rest of the cast are good as well. basically everyone has enough screen time to kick some a.ss in the movie.
nothing really to nitpick about. it's a superhero movie after all.

just abit strange to see blackwidow doing those impossible somersault stunt in midair and onto the roof of a skyscraper, flying alien ships. she's just human, not a superhero wor.

oh and there an awesome one continuous shot of the all the heroes fighting in different parts of the city. and i saw it in IMAX 3D. thats like holy shi.t. Amazingggg

and i think this Maria Hill.. she's HOT! maybe it's just me but i think she's hotter than blackwidow in this movie!

i think there is nothing to act as the hulk since it's completely CGI...

although i think this time round they used motion capture a.k.a gollum-style for hulk's CGI..? so some "acting" still needed...
