International speed for m1 vs singtel
I know many users out there are deciding between singtel and m1 fiber broadband and are more concerned of international speed since most sites we surf are not Singapore sites. So can any users for 15mb international speed singtel and 100mb m1 users post some results in terms of torrent speed (upload and download) or download speed from sites like hotfile or rapidshare instead of speedtest (which is not representative of real world performance)? Thanks ahead for sharing.

100mbps on fibre M1
BT - max. ever encountered 4MB/s (total DL speed, very seldom single torrent speed can hit this high) hotfile - max ever encountered 400kb/s (non-premium) location: Tampines ![]()

May i know what is the RG (Residential Gateway) used for? is it the same as the two wire router that singnet provides when u sign up for their broadband? are these 2 ISP connections stable? like will it disconnect very frequently? my contract is due for renewal but don't know which one to sign with.

The RG serves as a router and wireless access point and allows you to use the fixed line provided by your ISP.
