Honestly, SGD$140 for a Dual-band AC Router with built-in 1Tb is bloody insane for grabs.

The big question is .. when can we get it in Singapore?

I think aside from Apple, Xiaomi is the only other tech company thats getting me very excited.

Today, Xiaomi introduced 3 new products for Mi Fans.

1) The #MiRouter with 802.11ac, dual-band, 1 TB Hard Disk for the price of RMB699 (approx SGD140).

2) The colourful #MiRouter Mini @ RMB129 (approx SGD26)

but you can get TP-Link WDR7500 (equivalent to Archer C7) for rmb400 and Tenda W1800R (i think equivalent to Asus RT-AC66U) for rmb500, both are also AC routers

If xiaomi creates several presets to cater to the vlan tagging applied by the fiber ISP s here....

We will have a undisputed champion.

Yes. But if XM brings their routers into SG, its local warranty.

No point.Their products so hard to get locally and amazing amount of fakes if you buy from china online. Unless local ISP bundle them with bb ...I think think anyone local could get their hands on them anytime soon ....

1st thing is they must create english interface for these products... reading all the networking terms in prc chinese is a pain in the ass.

2nd thing is, provided u can get it before it sold out.

3rd thing is, when it is really available for local sale, how much will it be?

I'm more concerned in which wireless channels will be supported locally.

Mi-Router-Price-Comparison.jpg

Translate for you:
BCM4709 1GHZ Dual Core same as R7000 Nighthawk
256MB RAM
1TB Storage (Prolly a Harddisk)
I laugh at those who paid a hand and a leg for those who pay for those "branded" routers...
At that price quite worth it you could even make a profit if you remove the harddisk and sold it off :s13::s13::s13: (Just Joking)

My only grip about the form factor of the Xiaomi Router (aka time capsule rip-off) is its embedded antennas. The Asus AC68 rocks with its 3 "joss sticks" poking out.

Looks like it is self-assembled, IKEA Routers:
They really saved assembly cost by asking end-users to do it...

Sry I think it is Engineering Sample need assembly not retail versions.

They don't contain 1tb hard disk leh....

And xiaomi router mini is also 802.11ac. 129RMB for a 802.11ac router is a ******* steal.
