shipping cost is a factor, and warranty, and if get lemon set u buy in sg still can get 1 for 1 exchange from the reseller, usa u ship in kana lemon set means= gone. plus acer side might not service for u as its an export set.

acer notebook just buy in sg, safer alot

Re

I'm eyeing the Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition VN7-592G-788W with 4K touchscreen and Skylake model

Its spec looks better than DELL XPS-15 9550 except for its larger size and weight

But not out yet. I'll wait a bit longer for ACER to release this set here

USD929 still must add 7% gst on top and warranty is a grey area.

Dell Singapore have a cheaper alternative to XPS15, which is the Inspiron 15 7000, $1900, similar specs but with 4k touchscreen, easily opened if you want diy upgrade ram or ssd, and Dell pro-support next business day warranty.

acer? nah~ better give it a pass if you want a long term use and warranty overseas or even to find after-sales support overseas, acer would be a pain.
