Hi folks, looking to get either of the above. Probably GTX 1060/1070. Main consideration now is screen quality, build quality, heat and fan noise.

Advice on which is better is appreciated (cost aside)!

Thanks! Any aftershock s15 users here? Would really appreciate your input on heat and fan noise.

Went down to the fair to take a look. Wow felt quite heavy. Definitely not 2.5kg :p

Anyway in the end i bought the asus GL502VM for $2098.

The aftershock prices were a tad higher and the look and feel of the Asus was more to my liking.

No regrets after setting up! Super cool. :D

Best denki. There were so many vendors - BD, gain city, Harvey Norman, courts, newstead, fighting it out that day. I just circled and asked for best price haha.

Hello op i suggest you try out Dell inspiron 15 7000 gaming if you want a decent enough gaming laptop even though its not branded as such.

If not, going for asus would be the better option in my opinion. And tbh, you dont need a 1070 unless you are a very hardcore gamer especially when it costs so much more. =:p

Nice. We benefit from their competition. Urs is the i7-6700 or i7-7700 version.
