1) HP Pavilion DV6-6171Tx Notebook PC. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU@2.20GHz, 8Gb of ram

HDD TOSHIBA MK7575GSX

2) Using this PC as my entertainment, research and work purpose. I aware that the Samsung SSD hard disk is capable for booting up PC is split second as compare to normal Hard disk. trying out the new SSD will help to increased my boot up timing and all the startup program which currently my harddisk not able to start up properly and cost my PC to lag more then 5mins to fully initial all the start up program.

ASUS K55VM, 640GB 5400rpm HDD

I want to win a SSD because the applications that I run for my undergrad studies is hogging up all my hard disk speed, making multi-tasking undesirable. I'm sure Samsung SSD will work brilliantly with my laptop.

1. DIY Desktop. i5-3570K, 8GB RAM, 80GB Intel X25-M SSD

2. Got the Intel SSD for its reliability (but not speed) 2 years ago, but it's showing its age. Would love the Samsung SSD for its proven SPEED as well as RELIABILITY compared to ANY other SSD in the market currently. Amazon's customer feedback is always there to prove that! :)

using hp XW6600 xeon e5440 8gb ram, nvidia quadro fx1700 with crucial M4 128gb and seagate 320gb.

use as a leisure machine as well as CAD/CAE. Need a faster speed hdd so as to launch my software and simulation and cad files faster. Also would like to compare with M4 to see how much faster it can get.

1. DIY Computer:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GH
Asus Rampage IV Extreme
2 x ASUS MATRIX 7970Ghz
64 GB Corsair Vengeance 1600
INTEL 335 240 GB + Samsung 350 GB + Western Digital 2 TB
HP 2509p
Razer Moray Black
LG GH24
Corsair AX 1200i
HAF X 942
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit OEM

2. My INTEL SSD is only left with 60GB of free space.
I have every intention of upgrading to or getting an additional Samsung 840 PRO. From the reports i see, its the fastest and its blow the competition away.
However, the price of the 512GB version is way too high........
I do hope I get to experience this trial and improve my RIG. :)
I'm a Samsung Phone and SSD card supporter as well! Oh yeah!

Brand: Lenovo Thinkpad T400
Storage: 120GB

Reason to want to win: This is my work machine. I want to change my HDD to SSD to prove to management that the performance gain we will get with SSD is worth the $$ we will spend on it.

Giving my old PC a new life?

I have an old rig and the spec is as follows:
Main Board (Gigabyte P35-DS3P)
CPU (Intel 9450Q)
RAM (8 GB OCZ Reaper PC2 8500)
HDD (2 X WD 500 GB Black in Raid 0)
GRP (Asus Geforce 650Ti 1 GB OC)

Been using it everyday for work(office applications) and leisure (Gaming and video production). It is almost running thru the last leg of its useful life.

The raid hard disks are getting louder and grumpier as the day goes by.

Could a new SSD change its fate in revitalizing its shelf live like what has been advertised?:s11:
I just need to see it for myself to believe it.:s13:

My whole family is using it for work and leisure. Children using it For their school work and Youtube sometime and my incoming email is continue to eat up space everyday.

1. My 5 years old PC spec as follow:
Main Board: DFI LT X48
CPU: Intel E8400 overclock to 3.6Ghz
RAM: 2 x 2 GB OCZ Platinum PC2 6400
GFX: Asus GTX460 1GB
HDD: none

2. Recently my harddisk died, thus I don't have any harddisk at all now. I want to try SSD as I never had one before. I was looking for a 2nd hand SSD in HWZ marketplace forum as it's more affordable than a brand new one and came across this thread. I read in HWZ Hardware Clinic that quite number of people are recommending Samsung SSD, so I would really love to give it a spin. =)

p/s: I'm posting this with my office laptop.

Experience the speedy & reliable Samsung SSD

1) Asus U36SG with Intel Core i5-2430M, 4GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 3000 & Nvidia GeForce 610M 1GB VRAM.
Seagate ST9750420AS 750GB 7200rpm HDD

2) Present HDD is like a normal fast car. Samsung SSD 840 shall let me feel the speed difference just like a Ferrari to a normal fast car! The speed will change the way things work forever.
Travels frequently with my notebook overseas, meaning notebook moves around a lot and subjected to the rough treatments accompanied with travels. Previous HDD failed me just after a year. I would really need a reliable Samsung SSD 840 for my important files/data and knowing they are secure and safe, I can be worry and trouble free. 250GB is enough to store my files and for my numerous entertainment needs.

1) My current pc is using Intel I7 930 with 2X Corsair Vertex 2 60Gb raid.

2) Its running out of space & I would like to see how much faster the difference in speed if I were to use the Samsung's SSD

1) HP ProBook 4310s
Intel Core2Duo T9600 @ 2.80 GHz
4GB Ram
500GB 7200RPM HDD

2) My laptop has been with me for almost 4 years now. It's been my faithful workhorse through university and still going strong, but I think the hard drive is the bottleneck now, and I'm sure it will get a very significant speed boost from a SSD upgrade! I would love to try a Samsung 840 SSD!

1) Asus A42Jr
i5 430M, 8GB Crucial, HD5470-1GD3
160GB WD Scorpio

2) Tired of slow response and disk failures. The original 500GB drive was a lousy Seagate and died within months. Had it replaced with this tank of a Scorpio that already had 143 reallocated sectors but still will not give up the ghost.
This SSD would be a great way to breathe new life into an otherwise decrepit laptop.

1) gf's Toshiba Laptop bought during itshow at 2009

2) satellite m series with core2duo

though old and cumbersome, it still works perfectly, but the harddisk struggles with long bootup times and slow startup of programs.
wish to renew it with a new ssd!
