Dear HWZ bro and sis

MY above laptop was working fine and suddenlyou it refused to charge. I thot it's the charging cable and now realised that the charging cable and other cable are fine just that when I plug the charger to the laptop, the charger will power down.

I suspect it's some fault of the laptop. May I know if any expert here can share what could be the issue and who can repair it as it's outhe of warranty. Thanks

If you can borrow a mutimeter , then use it to check if there is any shorted
on the laptop charging port.

Current cannot flow into the laptop.
The failsafe for adaptor activate and shut down the adaptor.

Usually is power circuitry and motherboard related issues. :(
Need motherboard repair.

You may contact Dell Customer Support @ 1800-280-3355

Hours are:
Monday - Friday – 9am to 6pm
Saturday – 9am to 5pm

Following which, a technician / engineer / collection personnel would be dispatched to your location to trouble shoot / rectify the issue / collected back for further evaluation & service.

Do check with them on costs and charges should it be out of warranty, as it could be a costly fix.
