I'm using Asus A45V and I somehow misplaced the battery. I don't use battery while I'm home as I'll be using direct current from it. But I've decided to get one.

Can I know whats the difference between Lion battery and the normal one?

Technically it is hard to tell.
An original asus branded battery may not be original.

Main diff could be quality and longevity of battery.

Those maybe OEM, 3rd part or imitation one you may never know.
If you want to play safe, get Asus original battery from service center
which may cost about $100.
$100 is a lot but it does come with warranty, anything can just
exchange with them.

However Asus spare parts like battery is very troublesome to get.
Customer cannot call in/email in to order the battery.
You have to make a trip down to the service center to place
order which is really

Other brands like Dell/HP/Lenovo and etc. can just call in order
don't need to travel down.

See if battery.com.sg cheaper. If significant, then buy from there. Else, buy official.

China one warranty shorter lor

No need to care about how many cells, as long as you see the size and weight the same and the voltage and capacity the same, it will be the same qty of cell. Or even if different (physically unlikely but still...) it doesn't matter.

Some batteries are loaded with metals to make it feel like original and actual capacity is way lower than stated.
