MBA has a 1440 x 900, LED-backlit display. I'll rather look at those with 1600 x 900 displays.
If u can fork out more budget, U should go for samsung series 9 for a similarly sized lappie. But since u want a graphic card that is independent/discrete u should look at the heavier ultraportable classes and above (about 1.65-2.5kg type, not the MBA weight) |

hi. need the following Macbook air is good enough, but there are no 8GB RAM version as yet. RAM for MBA is soldered on board and is not upgradable. You do not need dedicated graphics to play movie. Thus any reasons for the dedicated graphics requirement?

But I dun think that even I am using the intel graphics not going to allow me on max 1440 x 900 resolutions....
editied: I mean that for a 1080p video in Youtube or H.264 I have no problem running it on intel graphic and the same goes for my delicated graphic...I also means that in 1440 x 900 is the max resolution be it on intel or delicated graphic cos i am on 14"
